## Description

Water a garden bed, reach around a patio, and keep the hose stored neatly between tasks with the GLAHODEN NW-J40B retractable hose reel. Its 5/8 in x 90 ft hose gives you room to work across outdoor spaces. Automatic rewind and a wall-mounted, 180° swivel bracket make it easier to pull out the hose in the direction you need.

## What to know
The dual ratchet lock lets you secure the hose at the length needed for a particular task, rather than leaving extra hose stretched across a walkway or garden edge. When watering is done, the automatic rewind system draws the hose back into its housing. Its slower retraction is designed to help control the hose as it returns, while the internal guide helps keep it aligned during storage.

The hose reel is made with UV- and freeze-resistant polymer material for outdoor use. A nine-pattern spray nozzle is included, with settings such as mist, shower, rinse, and soaker to suit different garden-watering tasks. The supplied components also include the hose reel, expansion screws, and instruction book.

Buyer feedback is positive about installation, appearance, and the reel’s solid feel. Experiences with retraction are mixed: some buyers describe smooth operation, while others find it difficult to retract. Some also report sprayer failures or leaks from inside the reel, so feedback on durability is not uniform.

## How it fits
This is a wall-mount design for a fixed spot near the area you water. The 180° swivel bracket follows the direction you pull the hose, helping it reach different parts of a garden without requiring the reel itself to turn. The included expansion screws support mounting, follow the instruction book and use a suitable mounting surface. For orderly rewinding, extend the hose fully if it becomes tangled, then guide it back smoothly as you walk toward the reel.

Compared with a basic hose stored on the ground or on a stationary holder, this setup combines an enclosed reel, adjustable hose locking, and automatic rewind. It suits anyone who wants a dedicated wall-mounted watering point and a more contained way to store a long hose between uses.

## Best use cases
Use it for routine watering across garden beds, lawn edges, or a patio planting area. The 90 ft reach is useful when plants are spread out from the mounting point, while the swivel helps direct the hose toward different sections. Choose a nozzle pattern to match the task: a gentle mist or shower for plants, or rinse for general outdoor watering. The soaker setting offers another way to apply water to garden areas.

It makes sense if you want a retractable wall-mounted reel with a 5/8 in hose, a selectable locking length, and a nozzle with multiple spray patterns. Its combination of reach and guided storage is especially useful for keeping a regular garden-watering station organized.

## Practical questions
**Does the reel rewind the hose automatically?** Yes. The automatic system retracts the hose into the housing, guide it back smoothly as you walk toward the reel. If the hose tangles inside, extend it fully before rewinding.

**Can the reel turn as you pull the hose?** Yes. The wall bracket swivels 180° to follow the direction of the hose and help it reach different areas.

**What spray options come with the nozzle?** The included nozzle has nine patterns, including mist, flat, soaker, cone, rinse, shower, and center. Select a pattern suited to the watering task.

## Buying verdict
For a garden that needs regular watering from a fixed outdoor station, the GLAHODEN NW-J40B brings useful reach together with controlled hose positioning and automatic storage. The 180° swivel, dual ratchet lock, and nine-pattern nozzle make it a practical fit for moving between garden areas while keeping the hose contained when the work is done.
