## Description

This wall mount smart garage door opener brings quiet strength for residential garages, combining remote control with a compact, space-saving design. It uses Aladdin Connect technology to monitor, open and close the door from anywhere with your smartphone, making access and oversight easier for busy homeowners. The opener includes a battery backup and a 24V DC motor rated to lift up to 850 lbs, according to the manufacturer, so daily use is reliable and less obtrusive.

## Key features

The unit mounts to the wall beside the door, freeing ceiling space and fitting standard, high lift and vertical lift setups up to 14 feet in height. It integrates with popular smart home platforms like Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings and [amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Genie-B6172H-Garage-Opener-850lbs/dp/B0925KTSMX?tag=globalofertit-20) In-Garage Delivery, so you can build it into existing automation routines. Safety is handled by the Safe-T-Pulse internal slack cable monitor which electronically checks cable slack and pulses the door before closing to help prevent unsafe travel. Have a crowded garage or limited headroom? This compact opener measures about 6.8 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 9 inches deep and is designed to save ceiling clearance.

## Tech specs

- **Name**: Genie B6172H Wall Mount Smart Garage Door Opener
- Type: Wall mount garage door opener
- Power: 24V DC motor
- Capacity: Lifts up to 850 lbs

## Where it shines

It’s a practical choice when you want to reclaim ceiling space and add remote access through a phone app. Installation requires a standard outlet within 6 feet of the mount and it supports a range of lift configurations, though it will not work with extension springs, reverse wound springs, or one-piece doors. Want full smart home integration and quiet operation with a compact footprint? This model covers those needs, while the battery backup gives peace of mind during power interruptions. 😊
