## Description

This outdoor speaker cable is built for patio and backyard audio setups that need a durable, weather-resistant run for powered or passive speakers. It offers a 14 gauge conductor size and a 100 ft length that allow longer runs with stable sound for outdoor listening, and it includes protection for in-wall or direct-burial installation when local codes permit.

## Key Points

The cable is designed with two insulated conductors inside a black jacket so it stays discreet along eaves, fences, and garden paths. It is CL3 rated, which means it meets a fire-safety classification suitable for in-wall use according to the manufacturer. For outdoor use the jacket resists exposure to UV and moisture, which helps maintain signal quality over time. 📻

Because the conductors are copper-clad aluminum, the cable is lighter and typically less expensive than pure copper alternatives. Consider that copper-clad aluminum can have higher electrical resistance than solid copper, which may affect very long runs or setups that demand the lowest possible loss. ⚠️

The cable is sold in a 100 ft roll that simplifies layout planning for typical yard and patio speaker layouts. For runs longer than 100 ft you may need additional cable or a different gauge to minimize drop in level.

## Usage Recommendations

Run the cable with the conductor polarity clearly marked at both ends to avoid phase issues between multiple speakers. For installations where the cable will be buried directly, confirm that the chosen burial depth and any conduit use align with local electrical and building codes. If you plan to power speakers over very long distances or drive subwoofers with high current demand, evaluate whether a lower-resistance, solid copper cable or a thicker gauge might reduce level loss and preserve bass response. 🎧

When connecting to terminals, strip only the minimal insulation needed to reach the terminal and avoid nicking the conductor to maintain mechanical strength. For wall pass-throughs, use appropriate grommets or bushings to prevent jacket abrasion at entry points. Finally, label each run at the amplifier end to speed future troubleshooting and adjustments.
