## Description

For a puppy practicing indoor potty habits, a larger pad gives more room to land on the absorbent surface. Gardner Pet’s XL disposable pads measure 28"x34" and pair a charcoal odor-control layer with edge barriers to help manage everyday messes.

The six-layer construction and quick-drying absorbent core make these pads useful for more than puppy training, including support for older pets and lining a travel carrier.

## What stands out

Charcoal in the pad is designed to help neutralize urine odors, while the unscented format keeps the pad free of added fragrance. The absorbent polymer core turns liquid into gel, and the waterproof backing helps protect floors and carpets. Two-sided barriers and an extended wrapped edge add containment around the perimeter.

The 28"x34" size gives pets a broader target than a compact training pad. That can be useful when setting up a puppy tray or covering an area near a food or water bowl. Compared with choosing a smaller, simpler pad, this XL design combines more surface area with odor-control material and a six-layer build.

Buyers frequently highlight the absorbency, thickness, size, and odor control. Feedback about leak protection is mixed: some say the pads contain liquid well, while others report leakage through the surface. These comments reflect different buyer experiences, not a guarantee of a particular result.

## The essentials

Each pad has six layers, including a super-absorbent polymer core and a waterproof PE membrane. The layered construction is intended to draw in urine and help keep the surface dry, while the reinforced edges provide additional containment. The pads are black, unscented, and sold in a 50-count package.

The listed materials include recycled post-consumer polyethylene and polypropylene, wood, and acrylate copolymer. Gardner Pet describes the pads for all life stages. Their intended uses include potty training for dogs and cats, assistance for aging pets, travel carriers, and covering a car seat or pet tray. They can also be placed beneath food or water bowls to catch spills.

## Everyday use

Place a pad flat in the spot your pet uses for indoor relief, or position one in a carrier or tray when an absorbent surface is helpful. The larger footprint offers more coverage for a training area, while the quick-drying core and odor-control layer support a tidier setup between changes. For bowl spills, use the pad beneath the feeding area to catch drips.

The disposable format makes it straightforward to refresh the surface as part of a regular pet-care routine. Choose the XL size when extra coverage is useful, such as for a puppy still learning where to go or an older pet that benefits from an accessible indoor spot.

## Should you buy it?

Gardner Pet’s XL charcoal pads are a practical fit for households that want a broad disposable training surface with layered absorption, odor-control material, and wrapped edges. The 28"x34" format suits potty-training areas, carriers, trays, and other pet-care spots where added coverage is useful. A 50-count package provides pads for ongoing use with dogs, cats, and other pets.
