## Description

For wildlife observers and property owners who want detailed footage and phone access at the camera’s location, the GardePro E8 2.0 combines 4K video, 64MP photos, motion-triggered recording, and a direct Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.

Its non-cellular design supports on-site viewing without a monthly fee, while dual antennas provide a connection range of up to 165 feet in open areas.

## The essentials

Capture wildlife activity with 4K video and photos up to 64MP. The camera’s 0.1-second trigger speed is designed to capture fast-moving subjects, and its 120° PIR detection angle helps cover a broad area in front of the camera. At night, 940nm no-glow infrared supports discreet recording, with night vision up to 100 feet.

Use the GardePro Mobile app to view the live scene, download files, change settings, and check camera positioning while within range. The camera connects directly to a smartphone through Bluetooth and its built-in Wi-Fi, it does not connect to a home Wi-Fi router or cellular network. Wi-Fi range can reach up to 165 feet in open areas, while walls, metal structures, and dense foliage may affect the signal. Motion, time-lapse, and hybrid recording modes let you tailor capture to the location.

Buyers often praise the picture and video quality, along with straightforward setup and operation. Feedback about connectivity and range is mixed, so actual access can vary with the surroundings.

## Size & fit

The camera measures 4.2 x 2.9 x 5.6 inches. A mounting strap is included, and the camera also has dual ¼-inch mounting points, giving you practical options for positioning it outdoors. Place it toward the area you want to monitor, taking the detection angle and nearby obstacles into account.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a field check, connect your phone while near the camera to preview the view, adjust settings, or retrieve photos and video without removing the SD card. An open line between the phone and camera helps make use of the stated connection range. The app is designed for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, Wi-Fi access through a PC, laptop, or web browser is not supported.

The camera runs on 8 AA batteries, which are not included, or can be paired with the GardePro SP350 solar panel, sold separately. It supports full-size SDHC or SDXC cards up to 512GB, a card is not included. In-camera playback and loop recording help manage and review footage at the site. The camera, two antennas, instruction manual, and mounting strap are included.

## What to clarify

**Does it connect to a home router or cellular service?** No. The E8 2.0 uses a direct phone connection through Bluetooth and its built-in Wi-Fi. It is a non-cellular camera and does not connect to a home Wi-Fi router.

**What memory card does it use?** It supports full-size SDHC or SDXC memory cards up to 512GB. The camera also offers in-camera playback and loop recording.

**What are the power options?** Use 8 AA batteries or the GardePro SP350 solar panel. The batteries are not included, and the solar panel is sold separately.

## Buying verdict

The E8 2.0 suits people who want detailed day and night wildlife or property footage and prefer to check recordings on a phone at the camera site.
