FURWEY 13.3 Play Sand, 6-Color Sensory Sand for Kids

Kids who enjoy hands-on sensory play can shape, squeeze, and sculpt this six-color sand at home. Red, purple, pink, yellow, blue, and green offer plenty of color for creative scenes. Want open-ended play without relying on molds? The sand can be shaped by hand, and it can also be used with tools or molds.

Worth noting

Each color comes in its own sturdy bag, making it easier to set out a few colors at a time and keep the rest organized. Children can work with the shades separately or mix them to create new colors, turning simple sculpting into a chance to experiment with color and form. The 13.3 lb set is designed for kids’ sand art and sensory play, with six colors to explore.

The sand has a moldable texture that holds together for shaping, while remaining reusable rather than drying out after play. That makes it suited to repeat activities such as building small scenes, squeezing shapes, or making sand art. Buyers often praise the vivid colors and tactile feel, feedback on cleanup is mixed, with some finding it easy to tidy and others describing sticky hands or a mess on the play surface.

Everyday use

This set works for creative play at home, group activities, or classroom settings. Children can press and knead the sand, build shapes by hand, and combine colors as they imagine new designs. Those hands-on actions provide tactile sensory play and opportunities to practice finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Since the sand is moldable without molds, it also suits children who prefer to invent their own shapes rather than follow a template.

Practical tips

Set the sand out on a play surface and open only the colors needed for the activity, the separate bags help keep unused colors together afterward. The product description notes that the sand may feel damp, but it is dry and sticks together for molding. In hot weather, the gel binder may soften and feel mildly sticky. Washing hands with water before play can help reduce sticking, and warm water rinses sand from skin after the activity.

The manufacturer reports third-party testing with passing results for ASTM F963-23 and CPSIA-related checks covering physical properties, flammability, lead, heavy metals, and phthalates. The sand is not edible. The manufacturer also advises washing hands after play and notes that users with sensitive skin may choose to wear gloves.

FURWEY Play Sand is a practical pick for families looking for colorful, reusable material for hands-on sculpting and sensory activities. It’s especially suited to open-ended sand art at home, in playgroups, or in classroom activities.
