## Description

When litter gets kicked across the floor or urine escapes over a low edge, cleanup can become part of the daily routine. The FURTIME stainless steel litter box pairs an open top with high sides, a litter-trapping mat, and a filter pedal to help contain mess around the box.

Its listed dimensions are 17" × 13" × 8.4", so the small size is intended for kittens or small cats rather than every adult cat.

## Where it shines

The stainless steel pan has a smooth, non-stick surface that the product description says is easy to rinse clean. Compared with a basic plastic pan, its metal construction may be appealing if you want a surface that is less likely to hold onto residue or odors. The box is also described as rust-resistant and scratch-resistant, those claims don’t remove the need for routine cleaning, but they speak to the kind of everyday wear this design is meant to handle.

High sides can help keep kicked litter and spray inside the pan. The included mat and filter pedal add another layer between the litter and your floor. For example, after a cat steps out, the mat is positioned to catch some litter before it gets tracked across the room. If you prioritize a simpler, easy-to-rinse pan, this open-top metal design may suit you, if you prefer a fully enclosed box, this is a different approach.

## What to know

This is the small option, and its stated dimensions matter more than the broad claim that the product suits different cats. A cat needs enough room to turn around and use the pan comfortably, so measure your cat’s usual litter area against the listed 17" × 13" × 8.4" before choosing. The description also mentions larger sizes, but their dimensions aren’t provided here.

The box is open on top, not a covered litter cabinet. Its high sides and secured lid are intended to reduce leaks, but they don’t make the pan fully enclosed. The scoop and mat are included, although no details are given about their material or dimensions. Odor control is another stated benefit, not a substitute for removing waste and cleaning the box. Worth considering if your main hassle is litter scatter or a plastic pan that is hard to rinse. It’s not for you if your cat needs a larger interior or you specifically want a covered setup. On the spec sheet, the key tradeoff is clear: durable metal and easy-clean claims in a small, open format.

## Care tips

The product description says the smooth surface can be rinsed with water. Remove waste regularly, then rinse and dry the pan as part of routine care, the included mat can also be checked for trapped litter when you tidy the area. No special cleaner or maintenance schedule is specified, so there’s no basis to promise that the surface will stay odor-free without regular cleaning.

## Is it worth it?

For a kitten or small cat, this FURTIME pan brings together high sides, a stainless steel basin, and accessories aimed at reducing the mess around an open litter area. Its strongest reason to choose it over a basic plastic tray is the metal surface and rinse-clean design, not a guarantee that every spill or odor will be prevented. The deciding point is fit: if your cat can use the listed small dimensions comfortably and you want an open box, the setup makes practical sense. If your cat is larger, or needs more room to move, a larger litter pan is the more sensible choice.
