Furologee 5-Tier Bookshelf with Drawer, Black Oak, Narrow 55.5-Inch Shelf

Five vertical shelves turn a narrow footprint into room for books, plants, kitchen supplies, or display pieces. The Furologee bookshelf pairs a black oak finish with a metal frame and a removable fabric drawer, giving everyday items a dedicated place without taking up much floor space.

At 55.5 inches tall and 15.4 inches wide, it suits bedrooms, living rooms, offices, dorm rooms, and kitchens. Use the open shelves for items you want to see and reach, and the drawer for smaller belongings that benefit from contained storage.

Worth noting

The industrial-style design combines particleboard shelves with a durable metal frame and a back panel. Four adjustable feet and an anti-tip kit support setup, while each shelf is rated to hold up to 30 pounds. The removable fabric drawer measures 13.7 inches wide by 10.2 inches deep by 10.2 inches high, offering a separate spot for smaller items such as accessories or supplies. The particleboard is described as waterproof, and the surface can be wiped with a damp or dry cloth.

Assembly is required, instructions and hardware are included. For a freestanding shelf, follow the assembly instructions and use the anti-tip kit as directed. This tall, slim format takes a different approach from a wide bookcase: it builds storage upward, which can be useful beside a desk, in a closet, or in a compact kitchen area.

How it fits

Use the five shelves to arrange books, decorative items, plants, cosmetics, or kitchen utensils. In a kitchen, it can serve as a place for pantry goods, spices, or coffee-making supplies, in a living space, it can display framed photos and small décor. The black oak finish and industrial frame give the shelf a defined look while keeping the overall footprint compact.

What works better for a tight area: another wide piece of furniture, or a tall shelf that uses less floor space? This bookcase is designed for the second approach, with open storage that keeps frequently used items visible and a drawer for loose essentials.

Getting the most from it

Plan the arrangement around the shelf’s 10.6-inch depth and 15.4-inch width, then place heavier items on shelves within their 30-pound capacity. Keep frequently reached items on accessible shelves and use the drawer for small pieces that might otherwise get mixed in with books or kitchen supplies. Its dimensions make it suitable for narrow spaces where a full-width bookcase may be harder to place.

Customer feedback often appreciates the appearance, clear instructions, and ability to fit the unit into smaller spaces. Comments on size are mixed, with some shoppers noting that the shelves feel smaller than expected. Some also report concerns with stability or screw fit during assembly, so careful alignment and following the instructions are useful steps when putting the shelf together.
