## Description

The 28" x 20" rectangular format gives this red silicone pastry mat a roomy surface for rolling dough, shaping pastry, or preparing ingredients on the counter. Its nonstick surface helps keep dough work contained, while the nonslip backing is designed to hold the mat in place as you roll.

Made from food-grade silicone, the mat is 0.7 mm thick. That thicker construction is designed to lie flat without wrinkling during use, giving you a steady surface for everyday baking tasks.

## Key features

The nonslip backing supports hands-on work such as kneading and rolling, when a mat that shifts can interrupt the task. Its nonstick surface is suited to pastry, pie crust, cookies, and sourdough preparation. Compared with working directly on a countertop, the mat creates a defined surface for dough work and can also serve as a counter mat or oven liner.

The mat is rated for temperatures from -30°F to 470°F, adding flexibility for different kitchen tasks. Customer feedback also highlights the roomy work area, easy cleanup, and grip during rolling, with buyers mentioning uses that range from bread making to pie dough and cookies.

## Care tips

For routine cleanup, wipe the silicone surface with a cloth. The smooth nonstick finish is intended to make cleanup straightforward after rolling or baking prep. Let the mat sit flat on the counter while working so its nonslip backing can support the surface beneath it.

## Best use cases

Use the mat when you want space to roll pastry, pie crust, or bread dough without spreading the task across the entire counter. Its 28" x 20" work area also suits cookie preparation and fondant work. For baking projects that call for a flexible silicone surface, the temperature range allows it to serve as an oven liner as well as a prep mat. It can also be used as a pizza pad or countertop mat.

If you regularly switch between dough preparation and other baking tasks, the mat’s combination of a nonstick top and nonslip backing provides a single surface for those jobs. Buyers commonly praise its size and ease of cleaning, and describe using it across several kinds of baking.

## Practical questions

What are the mat’s dimensions? The rectangular mat measures 28" long by 20" wide, providing a broad area for rolling and shaping dough.

Does the mat stay in place while rolling? Its backing has a nonslip design intended to help it stay put on the counter during dough work. Buyers also frequently mention its grip while rolling.

What temperatures is it rated for? The silicone mat is rated for use from -30°F to 470°F, so it can support both cold preparation and baking tasks within that range.

## Should you buy it?

This mat is a practical fit for bakers who want a generous, reusable surface for rolling dough and handling a range of kitchen prep. The 28" x 20" size, nonstick silicone, and nonslip backing make it especially useful for pastry, pie crust, bread, and cookie work at the counter.
