Floofelove Dog Winter Jacket, Size L

A fleece-lined interior paired with a windproof, water-resistant outer layer gives this Floofelove dog jacket more coverage than a thin vest when cold, breezy weather sets in. The back opening lets you attach a leash without taking the coat off, which is handy for a quick walk around the block or a potty break. Its relaxed fit is intended for small to medium dogs, but the listed measurements matter more than the breed examples: a coat that is too loose or tight can be uncomfortable and may not sit as intended.

Best use cases

This jacket is aimed at winter outings, chilly rainy days, and snowy conditions where a soft fleece lining and a barrier against wind and light moisture are useful. Picture your dog stepping outside for a neighborhood walk: the leash can pass through the opening at the back while the jacket stays on. The listing describes the shell as water-resistant, not waterproof, so it’s better to think of it as added coverage for damp weather rather than a substitute for fully waterproof gear in sustained rain.

The relaxed cut may suit dogs that dislike a snug layer, although fit still depends on their measurements and shape. The product description names breeds including French Bulldogs, Beagles, Dachshunds, and Pugs, but those examples don’t guarantee the same fit for every dog. Is the size label enough to decide? Not here—the chest and back measurements are more useful than the breed list.

The measurements are the key detail to compare with your dog before choosing. A listed weight range is a helpful starting point, but dogs of similar weight can have different chest and back proportions. on the spec sheet, this is a warm, lined vest with weather-resistant features, no fabric composition or care instructions are provided, so those details may matter if you need a specific material or washing routine.

Where it shines

The combination of fleece and a wind-resistant shell gives this coat a more weather-focused role than a basic, unlined dog vest. That makes it appealing for short outdoor trips when warmth and leash access are priorities, without adding fur, down, or leather. The back opening also avoids the extra step of removing the jacket every time you clip on a leash, provided the opening lines up with your leash setup.

One practical limitation is that the listing doesn’t give a waterproof rating or explain how the opening closes, so it doesn’t establish how the jacket performs in heavy rain. For frequent downpours or a dog that needs highly specific coverage, a coat with clearer weather-protection details may be a better fit.

When it makes sense

Worth considering if your dog’s measurements fall within the listed size range and you want a fleece-lined layer for cold, windy walks with a back leash opening. It’s not for you if you need confirmed waterproof performance, detailed care instructions, or a fit tailored to measurements outside those listed. Compared with choosing a simple lightweight vest, this jacket makes more sense when warmth and resistance to wind and damp weather are the priority, for mild days indoors or brief trips in dry conditions, that extra lining may be more than you need.
