These Floating Shelves for Wall Decor lean hard into rustic style: reclaimed solid elm wood with live-edge character, plus an invisible bracket for a cleaner look. On paper, they’re aimed at people who want something that looks organic and a little imperfect—in a good way. The grain, color variation, and knots are part of the design rather than a flaw to hide. Still, keep expectations realistic: you’re buying wall decor with real functional storage, not a perfectly uniform, matching-wood set. ## What they’re for (and what you can put on them) These wall-mounted shelves are 8 inches deep, and they’re positioned as both decorative and practical. That depth is wide enough for everyday items that look good on display—photos, small trophies, plants, and books are specifically called out. A quick, realistic example: in a living room, you could install one shelf near eye level for a couple of framed photos and a small potted plant, then use the second shelf a bit higher for a book stack and a decorative object. The “floating” look helps keep the wall from feeling cluttered compared with traditional shelving. ## Key takeaways on the design The distinctive part is the live edge effect and the irregularly curved edges. Each shelf is described as unique, with its own natural grain and shape, so you shouldn’t expect two identical pieces. They also use a heavy-duty hidden bracket for direct mounting on wall studs. The goal is simple: support the shelf while keeping the bracket visually out of sight, so what stands out is the wood. ## Tech specs - Material: reclaimed elm wood - Style: live edge, rustic with irregularly curved edges - Depth: 8 inches - Size: 24 inch set of 2 - Load capacity: up to 60 pounds - Mounting: hidden bracket, direct mounting on wall studs - Installation: includes mounting accessories and detailed instructions (claimed ~10 minutes) ## Where it shines (and where it may not) These shelves are at their best when rustic, natural wood texture is the look you’re after. If your home leans modern-minimal, the live-edge irregularity may feel a bit too “statement” on the wall. Also, because reclaimed elm is naturally varied, the color and markings will not be perfectly consistent across sets. It’s not the best choice if you’re expecting a fully uniform “matchy-matchy” appearance, or if you’re trying to mount to drywall without locating studs. The described method is direct mounting on wall studs, so the install approach matters. ## Installation experience: the part people forget The listing says installation is easy and takes about 10 minutes, and that the package includes mounting accessories and detailed instructions. That’s exactly what you want with floating shelves—because the success of the final look depends on getting the bracket aligned. Before you buy, double-check that you can mount into wall studs at the height you want. If you can’t, you may end up rethinking the plan, since the hidden bracket approach is designed for stud mounting. ## Should you buy it? It’s a solid pick if you want rustic floating shelves made from reclaimed solid elm, with live-edge character and an invisible bracket that keeps the wall looking clean. The load capacity and the stud-mount direct design make them feel more practical than purely decorative shelves. You may want to skip them if your style preference is very uniform and sleek, or if your wall setup doesn’t allow for stud mounting. These shelves are more “nature-forward” than “perfectly symmetrical,” and that tradeoff is worth understanding before you commit. ## Quick FAQ ## How different will the shelves look? Since they’re made of reclaimed elm wood with live-edge character, the grain, color, holes, and knots are expected to vary by shelf. ## Are the brackets visible after installing? The design is described as using a heavy-duty hidden bracket for direct wall mounting, so the bracket is intended to stay out of view. ## Can these shelves hold books and decor? Yes—books, photos, trophies, and plants are specifically mentioned as suitable items for the 8-inch-deep shelves. ## What do I need to install them? The package is said to include mounting accessories and detailed instructions, and the shelves are designed for direct mounting on wall studs. ## Is 60 pounds a realistic expectation? The listing claims a load-bearing capacity of up to 60 pounds. As with any wall-mounted shelf, the real-world result depends on correct bracket installation and secure stud attachment. ## Images ![Floating Shelves for Wall Decor – Rustic Solid Elm Wood Live Edge Set of 2 \(24 Inch\), Natural — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/Ashg6QJXjuDcM33pLfFf_FhWfXZMt6kXb1_XB69c5WrMUAbjK6gSlw0NgTULUxQfeZHV5qaM4h6BkR48gNrMWz0KVaZbWHUMIIxQZ6IZrFozFEZcqkuKrcq-jg.jpg) ![Floating Shelves for Wall Decor – Rustic Solid Elm Wood Live Edge Set of 2 \(24 Inch\), Natural — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/uOLOfmpd9oB2Lz62_lXBdXx_A6C33Iva2VCYpiPGt2wtdGRCDAgqo325nLQmZo4UEYZEUyQEmDYIBae3HniNjx_jswR_lnwqn5ZaN6G2sjOUTsMIqkM4X37SeA.jpg) ![Floating Shelves for Wall Decor – Rustic Solid Elm Wood Live Edge Set of 2 \(24 Inch\), Natural — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/bnkcu3jETfq9JTEgGEJJkG-UObJrm1IsvR2RnLUU8r-S3BYDmKyQieMNRmEqfz6xkO0RsNXcHSBeTSzGgrnpRVVuFDZAi09qBptvGhVfWIXnJ2X6dnDJIuLAlQ.jpg) ![Floating Shelves for Wall Decor – Rustic Solid Elm Wood Live Edge Set of 2 \(24 Inch\), Natural — 4](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/Lig7FgwRaQjjGD1y4txt6TlABZ7ovXak5YCnZ741siXm4dppn5sSQzccMpkGrgZTU1ee-EM4otAkP2V11QRiS8Su2JtJqMeWJdV9I1HFpX3yqTrzk7v6x84zQg.jpg) ![Floating Shelves for Wall Decor – Rustic Solid Elm Wood Live Edge Set of 2 \(24 Inch\), Natural — 5](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/yiqWDBcMCVh4X1-ZQLf1FTYAAW3EWukX_hl7MPhM6YfBDBhe6iyuUX_KHbuO30cmiwZUGmk_gFN8AlgHjw4DBde5BUtATdQsSljFeXEEIoFTOcwSZDj0-q10cA.jpg)
