## Description

At 3.7 x 2.1 x 1.96 inches, the flatsons FTN-2 is a compact chromatic tuner pedal with a metal housing. Its color display gives a visual readout of tuning status as you adjust a note. Need to tune a guitar or bass during a set? The pedal format makes tuning part of your signal-chain setup, with true bypass routing the signal directly when the tuner is off.

## Worth noting
The FTN-2 covers a wide A0–C8 tuning range, making it suitable for electric guitars, basses, baritone guitars, and instruments with extended range. It also supports flat tuning by multiple semitones, which is useful for setups such as Eb or drop tunings. Adjustable A4 calibration from 435Hz to 445Hz gives you a way to match the tuner to your preferred reference pitch.

The color LCD provides real-time visual feedback as the pedal detects pitch from the audio signal input. Its display is designed to be easy to read in settings ranging from dark stages to outdoor daylight, so you can check tuning while setting up or between songs. When the pedal is switched off, true-bypass switching routes the signal directly through the chain. That makes it a practical choice for players who want a dedicated tuner pedal with a bypass path rather than a separate tuning device.

## Who it’s for
This pedal suits guitarists and bassists who want chromatic tuning within a pedalboard setup. The broad range is useful for standard instruments as well as baritone, bass, and extended-range guitar configurations. For a rehearsal, connect the instrument to the pedal, use the screen to follow the detected pitch, and make adjustments before playing. The display keeps tuning status visible at a glance, while the pedal format places the tuner where it can be reached as part of a performance setup.

## Tips for day-to-day use
The tuner runs on a 9V DC power adapter, which is not included. Connect the adapter for operation, then use the visual readout to tune each string or check a changed tuning. If you use a nonstandard reference pitch, adjust A4 calibration within the available 435Hz to 445Hz range. The metal chassis and compact footprint help the pedal fit into a working setup where space and regular transport matter.

## When it makes sense
Choose the FTN-2 when you want a pedal-based chromatic tuner with a wide tuning range, a color screen, and true bypass in one compact unit. It’s especially relevant for players who switch among guitar and bass setups, use flat or drop tunings, or want pitch feedback directly on a pedalboard. The combination of adjustable calibration, clear visual tuning status, and a direct signal path when bypassed makes it a focused tool for tuning at rehearsals, on stage, or during everyday practice.
