FKM DT-800 Infrared Thermometer Gun -58°F
Product description
A precision infrared thermometer gun with fast, non-contact readings makes troubleshooting, cooking, and inspections more consistent. The FKM DT-800 laser thermometer gun is built for everyday use where you need surface temperature results without touching hot, moving, or potentially hazardous equipment 🔥 It supports a wide range of temperatures from -58°F to 1472°F, so you can handle everything from frozen items to high-heat applications. 🧰
The essentials
The FKM DT-800 is a non-contact infrared thermometer gun designed to deliver targeted surface temperature measurements quickly and safely. You press and hold the MODE key for 3 seconds to adjust emissivity, which helps the gun match different surface types using its digital infrared sensor. That matters when you are checking materials with different reflectivity, because surface conditions can influence how accurate the reading feels in real use. It also includes 13 point laser technology plus a 12:1 D:S ratio to help you aim at the right measurement area while you work.
For tasks like griddle and oven monitoring, HVAC inspections, automotive checks, and industrial spot tests, the ability to read in about 0.5 seconds can keep workflow moving. Instead of waiting around for systems to cool down so you can touch a surface, you can gather readings from a safe distance. It is also rechargeable, which reduces downtime and avoids repeated battery replacement. ✅
If you need a tool that stays easy to operate during busy kitchen or jobsite moments, this model is positioned around practical usability. It includes a VA color backlight LCD for clearer viewing, plus data retention so you do not have to rely only on memory. It also offers functions like low battery prompt and automatic shutdown after 15 seconds.
Key points
What you will notice first is how the gun supports accurate targeting. The upgraded laser fast and precise targeting uses 13 point laser technology, and the 12:1 D:S ratio helps you measure a more accurate area at the same distance. That is useful when you are checking small zones on a grill, near a component on a vehicle, or during inspections where you cannot place your hand close by.
Second, you get control over emissivity settings so the readings can better match the surfaces you are measuring. The gun allows emissivity adjustment from 0.1 to 0.99, which helps when you are measuring different materials and finishes. In real-world terms, that can reduce guesswork when the surface is glossy, oxidized, or otherwise not uniform. Keep in mind that emissivity adjustment is about matching surface behavior, and results can still vary depending on the exact surface conditions.
Third, this is built for convenience with a rechargeable lithium battery. The rechargeable design is meant to be more convenient and environmentally friendly than frequent battery swaps. You can recharge via USB anywhere, so it fits into the way people already charge devices. It also includes data retention, so your recent measurement is easier to retrieve after you step back.
Finally, the interface is designed for visibility and control during active use. The VA color backlight eye protection LCD helps you read temperature values in different lighting conditions. You also get adjustable settings like laser or buzzer on off, plus ℃ and ℉ free switching.

Who it’s for
It suits people who need fast, non-contact surface temperature checks across cooking, automotive, HVAC, and industrial maintenance workflows. If you regularly monitor griddles, ovens, fryers, and other heat sources, you can use the gun for surface temperature verification without touching hot surfaces. It is also useful for HVAC inspections and automotive diagnostics where direct contact is not practical or safe 🔧
It may not suit you if you plan to measure anything other than surface temperature, because the design is not for human or animal use. If you need measurements for objects with very complex geometry or surfaces that are hard to characterize, you may spend extra time dialing in emissivity to improve consistency. For those scenarios, the laser aiming and emissivity adjustment features can still be a strong help, but results depend on the surface you are checking.
Built with ABS material and an anti-fall approach, it is designed to feel comfortable in hand during repeat checks. The gun includes an ergonomic digital body, a large VA color backlight screen for easier reading, and a practical set of control features like S test scanning status display and low battery prompt. When you want a rechargeable, easy-to-use IR thermometer that supports both kitchen tasks and maintenance checks, this model fits that mixed-use need.
