## Description

This FilterBuy 12x12x1 MERV 8 air filter improves home air quality with durable construction and long-lasting electrostatic filtration. It fits standard furnace and HVAC slots to reduce pollen and dust while maintaining good airflow. Ideal for routine household maintenance, it supports cleaner air without frequent swaps.

## Key takeaways
The pack of six filters delivers steady filtration performance for up to 90 days per filter according to the manufacturer. Its MERV 8 media captures common contaminants such as pollen, lint and mold spores without heavily restricting airflow. The filters use an electrostatically charged synthetic medium with 14 pleats per foot which helps trap finer particles compared with basic fiberglass panels. 🏠

## Technical overview
- Name: **FilterBuy 12x12x1 MERV 8**
- Dimensions: 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches
- Filter rating: MERV 8
- Construction: beverage board frame with double wire backing
- Lifespan: replace every 90 days

## Where it shines
The reinforced frame and double wire backing resist bending and temperature shifts, so the filter stays square and effective over time. The synthetic pleated media lasts longer than simple fiberglass, offering roughly three times the service life as stated by the maker. For households with seasonal allergies, the MERV 8 performance reduces visible dust and airborne allergens while preserving system efficiency.

## Who it’s for
**It’s a great fit if** you want straightforward maintenance and steady allergen reduction in a typical residential HVAC system, if you prefer filters made in the United States, or if you value a sturdier frame that resists deformation. **It may not be a great match if** you need higher capture rates for ultrafine particles, as MERV 8 targets common household contaminants rather than HEPA-level filtration.

## What’s included
This listing contains six replacement pleated air filters sized for 12 x 12 x 1 openings, designed for use in furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps. The materials are recyclable and the product is manufactured in the USA.
