## Description

Pleated MERV 8 media captures airborne particles to help manage dust and allergens in your home. This six-pack is designed for residential air conditioners and furnaces. Each filter is labeled 12 x 22 x 1 inches, with actual dimensions of 12 x 22 x 0.75 inches. The slide-in design makes routine replacement straightforward.

## What to know

These polypropylene filters combine a pleated design with a MERV 8 rating. The pleats capture airborne particles while the filter is designed to maintain airflow, making it a practical choice for regular residential HVAC maintenance. Use them in a compatible air conditioner or furnace to help limit dust and other particles circulating through the system.

The pack contains six filters, so replacements are on hand for successive changes. The manufacturer recommends changing one-inch filters every 30 to 90 days, the right interval within that guidance depends on your household and system use. A fresh filter supports the intended operation of your heating and cooling equipment.

## Quick sizing guide

Choose by the actual filter dimensions and the space in your unit, not just the size printed on the label. These filters are sold as 12 x 22 x 1 inches, but each measures 12 inches by 22 inches by 0.75 inches. That distinction is useful when comparing a replacement with the filter currently installed. Customers report mixed experiences with fit: some find the size correct, while others mention a shorter fit or gaps at the edges. Matching the actual measurements to your existing filter and slot helps guide selection.

Compared with choosing a replacement from its nominal size alone, checking the actual length, width, and thickness gives you a more useful basis for selecting a slide-in filter. This is especially helpful when the filter sits within a close-fitting return or furnace slot.

## Everyday use

For a routine change, open the filter access, slide the replacement into the slot, and close the access panel. The straightforward installation suits regular home maintenance, while the six-pack keeps future changes within reach. The rectangular format and slide-in mounting are intended for compatible residential air conditioning and furnace systems.

The MERV 8 rating and pleated polypropylene media make this filter relevant for households looking to capture dust and other airborne particles as part of normal HVAC operation. Buyers also describe the filters as effective at catching dust and dander, though feedback on fit varies. Match the actual dimensions to your system before installation so the filter sits as intended.

## Practical questions

**What are the filter’s actual dimensions?** Each filter measures 12 x 22 x 0.75 inches. The product’s nominal size is 12 x 22 x 1 inches, so use the actual measurement when comparing it with your current filter.

**Can it be used in an air conditioner or furnace?** It is designed for compatible residential air conditioner and furnace systems and installs by sliding into the filter slot.

**How often should the filter be replaced?** The manufacturer recommends replacing one-inch filters every 30 to 90 days. This pack includes six filters for planned replacement cycles.

## Final verdict

Filter King’s MERV 8 six-pack brings pleated particle capture, a simple slide-in format, and a clearly stated actual size together for routine residential HVAC upkeep. It suits homeowners looking for replacement filters for a compatible AC or furnace, especially when the 12 x 22 x 0.75-inch measurements match the existing slot.
