## Description

The Excitobo LY-005 is a red plastic RC stunt car measuring 5.5 x 4.6 x 5.1 inches. Its compact size and double-sided design are built around flips and spins, not just straight-line racing.

Four-wheel drive supports forward and reverse movement, left and right turns, and 360° rotation. The car comes with a remote, and its 2.4GHz connection is intended to support racing with other cars.

The manufacturer lists a 900mAh rechargeable battery and up to 50 minutes of play per charge. Buyer feedback is mixed on battery life and reliability, so those figures should be treated as listed expectations rather than a guarantee of every session.

## Why it’s worth it

This car combines driving controls with stunt-focused play: it can rotate, drift, and flip onto either side, then continue moving. That gives kids more to explore than a basic RC car centered on steering and forward-and-back driving. For example, a child can guide it across a wooden board or lawn, try a turn or flip, then steer it back into a race. The manufacturer also lists concrete, stairs, and sandy terrain among possible surfaces, though the experience can vary with the route and conditions.

You’ll appreciate it if the appeal is trying tricks as well as racing. The stated top speed is 15 kilometers per hour, and the maker describes it as suitable for two players. It’s not for you if you need predictable battery performance: some buyers report good charge retention, while others describe charging or reliability problems.

## Key points

The LY-005 uses 4WD and has a double-sided body intended to keep play going after a flip. Its 2.4GHz remote connection is presented as a way to race with friends without signal interference. The car is listed with a lithium-ion battery, USB charging cable, and a 900mAh capacity, the remote and car are the listed included components. The product description gives up to 50 minutes of use per charge, but buyer experiences differ, and feedback on remote operation is also mixed.

The manufacturer recommends the car for ages 36 months to 10 years. That range is narrower than the age span suggested in the product title, so the manufacturer’s recommendation is the more useful reference when choosing it for a child. Buyers often describe the flips and spins as entertaining and mention it as a gift, while reports about how consistently it works vary.

## Getting the most from it

The manufacturer says to turn the car’s switch off while charging. For play, a clear stretch of lawn, concrete, or wooden flooring offers room to steer and try the rotation and flip functions. The stated 50-minute runtime is a maximum claim, not a promise for every charge, and the mixed buyer feedback makes battery performance worth keeping in mind when planning longer play sessions.

## Questions before you buy

**What comes in the package?** The listed components are the RC car and remote, and the product description also specifies a USB charging cable.

**Can it race with another car?** The 2.4GHz remote system is described as supporting multiplayer racing. The listing specifies two players.

**What age does the manufacturer recommend?** The stated recommendation is 36 months to 10 years. The product title mentions a broader age range, so use the manufacturer’s recommendation as the guide.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the Excitobo LY-005 if flips, spins, and four-wheel-drive movement matter more than a simple point-and-steer toy. Its mix of stunts and racing gives children several ways to play, and the compact dimensions are easy to work into a play area. The main caution is consistency: buyer comments are divided on battery life, remote performance, and whether the car keeps working reliably. If a dependable long-running session is the priority, that uncertainty may matter more than the stunt features.
