## Description

Fingerprint entry gives this smart lock a convenient way to open the door without reaching for a key, while built-in Wi-Fi adds app-based control for managing access remotely. The eufy Security T85L0 combines a handle with an electronic deadbolt in a nickel-finish metal design for residential or commercial use.

For a door used mainly for quick everyday entry, fingerprint access keeps the interaction simple. If remote access management matters more, the Wi-Fi connection adds app controls, notifications, and event history.

## Highlights

The lock supports fingerprint recognition, passcodes, the eufy app, NFC, voice control, and a physical key, giving household members more than one way to enter. It stores up to 50 fingerprints and 100 passcodes, so access can be set up for multiple people. Auto-lock adds a useful step to a routine: after entering or leaving, the door can lock automatically according to its countdown setting.

With built-in Wi-Fi, the app provides remote control along with access management, real-time notifications, and an event history. The lock also works with eufy video doorbells and security cameras, making it a practical part of a home security setup. Its exterior assembly is rated IP53, and the nickel finish gives the handle and deadbolt a coordinated look.

Buyer feedback is varied. Customers often praise the fingerprint reader’s response and Wi-Fi connection, while reports about ease of use and reliability are mixed. Some also raise concerns about battery use and durability, including reports of replacing the 8 AA batteries every 2–3 months. The lock’s stated power source is 8 AA batteries.

## Size & fit

The lock measures 7.24 x 6.06 x 5.12 inches and weighs 1.91 kg. Its metal construction and nickel finish suit buyers looking for a contemporary handle-and-deadbolt design rather than a separate keypad-only device. The set is intended for a single door lock installation, with left- and right-hand doors supported. The product information describes installation as requiring no drilling and taking about 15 minutes.

## Best use cases

For a busy household, fingerprint entry can make frequent trips through the front door easier, while stored fingerprints and passcodes provide different access methods for family members. For a side, garage, office, or basement door, app controls and access notifications can help the owner manage entry without relying only on a traditional key. The physical key is also available as an alternative entry method.

This model is a better fit for shoppers seeking biometric access and connected controls in one handle-and-deadbolt unit than for those who only want a conventional mechanical lock. Its capacity for fingerprints and passcodes is especially useful when several people need individual access, and auto-lock supports a more consistent locking routine.

## Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want to combine fingerprint or passcode entry with remote app control and automatic locking. The T85L0 brings those features together with built-in Wi-Fi, a physical-key option, and compatibility with eufy video doorbells and security cameras. For a front, side, office, or other frequently used door, it offers flexible entry methods and app-based access management in a nickel-finish lock with handle.
