This rugged phone case from ESR protects the iPhone 17 Pro Max with reinforced layers and a magnetic system that works with MagSafe accessories, making it practical for daily use and outdoor activities. It emphasizes drop protection and shock absorption while keeping full access to ports and speakers for uninterrupted functionality.

Key Points

The case features a camera control button that preserves the iPhone’s camera gestures, allowing clicks, presses, and swipes for quick adjustments while shooting. According to the manufacturer, the design underwent stringent testing to deliver sevenfold military-grade protection across all sides. The exterior finish is navy blue, giving a subdued, professional look without drawing attention.

Technical Specifications

• Name: ESR Cyber Series for iPhone 17 Pro Max
• Compatibility: iPhone 17 Pro Max (2025 model)
• Drop protection: up to 23 feet according to the manufacturer
• Magnetic hold: 1,500 g ring magnet strength for MagSafe alignment
• Construction: three-layer system with TPE outer shell, polycarbonate hard layer, and soft shock-absorbing inner core

Advantages

The triple-layer build combines a hard outer frame with a soft inner core to disperse impact energy and reduce the risk of cracks or scratches. The strong ring magnet improves wireless charging alignment and keeps MagSafe accessories securely attached, which helps when swapping mounts or chargers. Also, the tactile buttons remain easy to press, and precise cutouts preserve speaker and port function for uninterrupted charging and audio use.

Usage Recommendations

For best results, attach MagSafe accessories by aligning the magnetic ring and avoid rough contact with abrasive surfaces to preserve the finish. Consider removing the case briefly for deep cleaning if dirt collects along the seams, since the multi-part construction can trap debris. Note that while drop resistance is rated high, extreme impacts beyond the tested conditions may still cause damage according to the manufacturer.

Practical Tips

If you plan to use the camera control button frequently, test gestures indoors first to get accustomed to the tactile feedback. The navy blue tone blends well with most environments and conceals fingerprints better than lighter finishes. Customer support options include configuration videos and a 12-month protection plan with ongoing assistance for setup questions.
