## Description

For a workday at a desk, a drive, or time spent sitting in a wheelchair, the Ergonomic Innovations donut cushion adds a shaped layer of support to your seat. Its center opening and U-shaped cutouts are designed to redistribute pressure around the tailbone. The medium-firm memory foam offers a supportive feel, while the portable design makes it easy to move between seats.

## Usage tips

Place the cushion on a firm seating surface with the U-shaped cutouts oriented toward the front and back of the seat. For tailbone support, position your coccyx over the opening so it is not resting directly on the cushion. This setup works for everyday seating at home or work, and the lightweight format also suits use in a car or while traveling.

At 17.5 x 14 x 2.75 inches, the cushion is sized for a range of chairs and seats. Its non-slip base helps keep it in position as you sit, and the removable cover can be machine washed. Spot clean the foam itself. The medium size is listed for body weights up to 240 lbs, a useful fit detail when choosing a seat cushion.

## Where it shines

The open-center design is intended for people seeking a way to reduce pressure on sensitive areas while seated, including those dealing with tailbone discomfort, hemorrhoids, postpartum recovery, or pressure-sensitive skin. The shaped cutouts create a practical alternative to a flat cushion when the goal is to keep direct contact away from the coccyx. For someone who mainly wants a general padded layer across the whole seat, a conventional flat cushion offers a different style of support.

Its versatility is useful when seating changes throughout the day. Move it from an office chair to a dining chair, car seat, or wheelchair rather than relying on one dedicated cushion in a single location. Customer feedback often highlights support and pain-relief benefits, while opinions on firmness vary, this model is described as medium-firm, so the feel is more supportive than plush.

## Key takeaways

The cushion combines high-density memory foam with a center opening and U-shaped cutouts to target pressure distribution around the tailbone. A non-slip base helps it stay in place, and a removable, machine-washable cover makes routine care more convenient. Its 17.5 x 14 x 2.75-inch size and portable design suit use across several seating situations, while the foam can be spot cleaned as needed.

## Should you buy it?

Choose this donut cushion if you want shaped support for sitting and the flexibility to use the same cushion at home, at work, or on the road. Its cutout design, medium-firm foam, and washable cover make it a practical fit for people looking to ease pressure around sensitive areas during seated activities.
