## Description

Readers and crafters who want hands-free light can aim the EastPin Neck Light at a book, project, or nearby task. Its two different lamps serve distinct purposes: a rectangular floodlight spreads a soft, broad beam across a reading or craft area, while a round spotlight provides longer-range visibility.

Flexible arms and a 270° rotating head help direct the light where it is needed, so you can read, knit, sew, or work on fine details without holding a separate lamp.

## Why it’s worth it

The rectangular lamp offers three color modes for different activities, from focused reading to a more relaxed evening setting. It also has stepless brightness control, adjustable from full brightness down to a soft night-light glow. A short press changes color mode, a long press adjusts brightness. These controls make it easier to tailor the light to a page or craft in front of you, while the broad beam is designed to illuminate the work area evenly rather than concentrate light in a small spot.

The separate round spotlight adds another useful option when you need to see farther than your immediate workspace. For example, you can use the floodlight to follow a knitting pattern and switch to the spotlight to look toward a nearby item. The rechargeable 1,600mAh battery provides up to 10 hours at high intensity, up to 80 hours on low, or 15–50 hours at medium brightness, recharging takes 4 hours.

## What matters most

The key difference is the combination of a broad rectangular reading light and a round spotlight in one neck-worn design. Why choose between lighting a page and aiming a beam farther away when the two lamp styles address different tasks? The rectangular lamp’s color modes and dimming are useful for close-up reading and detailed hobbies, while the spotlight is suited to longer-range visibility. The controls for color and brightness apply to the rectangular lamp, not the spotlight.

For a quiet evening, position the floodlight over a book without keeping a flashlight in hand. For needlework, sewing, crochet, embroidery, or cross-stitch, aim it toward the section you are working on. It can also serve as a hands-free light for camping, fishing, hiking, nighttime dog walks, and other activities where directing light at a task is useful. Worth considering if you want one rechargeable light for both close-up hobbies and occasional outdoor use.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Shape the flexible arms and turn the rotating head to direct the beam at your reading or work area. Select a color mode with a short press, then use a long press to set the rectangular lamp’s brightness for the task. Choose the softer setting for a low glow or increase brightness when you need clearer illumination for detail. Recharge the built-in battery after use according to the light’s charging setup, a full recharge takes 4 hours.

## When it makes sense

This neck light is a practical fit for book lovers and people who sew, knit, crochet, or take on other hands-on projects, especially when keeping both hands free matters. Its dual-lamp approach also suits users who move between close work and looking farther ahead, such as setting up a campsite or handling fishing gear. Choose it for adaptable, wearable illumination with three color modes, dimming, and a rechargeable battery.
