## Description

Pet owners looking for an upright vacuum to clean across different floor types can consider the Dyson Ball Animal 2 Plus. Its self-adjusting cleaner head is designed to maintain suction across carpets and hard floors. Whole-machine filtration helps keep captured allergens inside the vacuum. Corded electric operation suits indoor cleaning where an outlet is available.

## Pros
The cleaner head automatically raises and lowers as it moves between surfaces, helping it seal against carpets, wood, vinyl, and tile. A motorized brush bar supports deep cleaning throughout the home, while Radial Root Cyclone technology is designed to help remove dirt and allergens. For homes with pets, those features make this model suited to routine floor cleaning as well as picking up pet hair.

Ball technology helps the upright turn around obstacles with a wrist movement, and the instant-release wand and long-reach hose extend cleaning beyond the floor. The included combination tool, stair tool, and tangle-free turbine tool add options for detail work and stairs. Compared with a cordless vacuum, this corded model is a fit for shoppers who prefer a corded electric format for indoor cleaning rather than a battery-powered setup.

## What to know
The Dyson Ball Animal 2 Plus is designed for all-floor use and recommended for pet hair and allergens. Its whole-machine filtration traps allergens inside the machine instead of expelling them back into the home. The bin capacity is 0.45 gallons, and dirt is released hygienically with the push of a button, so emptying does not require handling it directly.

At 17.4 pounds, this is a full-size upright rather than a lightweight stick vacuum. Customer feedback is mixed on suction and overall performance: some buyers praise its cleaning effectiveness, while others say the suction feels too strong for their needs. Some also describe it as heavy and challenging to maneuver, particularly on carpet. These differing impressions are useful context when choosing between a substantial upright and a lighter format.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Use the self-adjusting head for transitions between carpets and hard flooring, then release the wand and hose for spots above the floor or beneath furniture. The combination tool and stair tool provide options for focused cleaning, while the tangle-free turbine tool is designed for stairs. When the bin is full, press the release button to eject dirt hygienically. Keeping the corded format in mind helps plan a cleaning route around accessible outlets.

## Buying verdict
The Ball Animal 2 Plus brings pet-focused cleaning, whole-machine filtration, and an automatically adjusting head together in one upright vacuum. It makes sense if you want a corded model for indoor cleaning across multiple floor types, with a wand and dedicated tools for work beyond open floors. For households managing pet hair and everyday dirt across carpet and hard surfaces, its combination of floor coverage and above-floor reach is the defining reason to choose it.
