DUNCHATY HALL81-SJQ55-JLN-17IN-3TER93 17-Inch Pre-Lit Plastic Pumpkin

A warm-white pre-lit light gives this plastic jack-o’-lantern a ready-to-display Halloween glow, without needing to add a candle. The 17-inch size is intended to make a noticeable seasonal accent for a porch, yard, or indoor display.

Its plastic shell and built-in light make placement straightforward: set it by an entryway, on a porch, or among other Halloween decorations. The listed dimensions are 17 x 8 x 8 inches.

The listing describes the lantern as waterproof for indoor and outdoor use and specifies ETL certification and two safety fuses. Buyer feedback on the lighting is mixed, so the glow may not look as full to everyone as the product images suggest.

Best use cases

This DUNCHATY lantern suits shoppers who want a pre-lit pumpkin decoration they can bring out for Halloween rather than carve and light themselves. It can serve as a single focal piece near a front door or as part of a larger seasonal display. The warm-white light gives it a different look from an unlit plastic pumpkin, while its orange shell keeps the familiar jack-o’-lantern appearance.

The product is listed for indoor and outdoor use, with a waterproof design. That makes a porch or yard a practical placement, as well as an entryway or room inside the home. Compared with a fresh carved pumpkin, this is a reusable plastic decoration with an included light, a real pumpkin may make more sense if carving is part of the Halloween activity you want.

What you’ll notice day to day

Because it is pre-lit, there is no need to position a separate candle inside. The manufacturer recommends against using candles and describes the light as having two safety fuses. The plastic construction is also described as lightweight, which can make it easier to move between storage and its display spot each season.

Buyers often praise the lantern’s size and appearance, and some mention using it as porch décor. Feedback about brightness is positive for some, but lighting opinions are not uniform, one buyer felt it did not light up as fully as pictured. Treat the light as a decorative accent rather than assuming it will illuminate a large area.

Key takeaways

The main reasons to consider this model are its 17-inch format, built-in warm-white light, plastic construction, and stated indoor/outdoor use. It is a focused seasonal decoration, not a general-purpose outdoor light. The listing also identifies the item as ETL-certified and includes two safety fuses, details that may matter when choosing a powered decoration for a home display.

A solid pick if you want a reusable, pre-lit pumpkin as a visible Halloween accent. You may want to skip it if you need broad or especially even illumination, buyer feedback on how fully it lights up is mixed. Opinions on value also vary, so its appeal depends on how you use it—as a decorative centerpiece or one small part of a broader display.

Practical questions

Can it be displayed outdoors? The product is described as waterproof and suitable for indoor and outdoor Halloween displays, including a porch or yard.

Does it come with a light? Yes. It is listed as pre-lit with a warm-white light, so a separate light source is not needed for the intended display.

Can you put a candle inside? The manufacturer recommends not using candles. The lantern is designed around its included powered light and is listed with two safety fuses.

Should you buy it?

Choose this lantern if the goal is a ready-to-place plastic jack-o’-lantern that adds a warm-white glow to a seasonal display, particularly on a porch or near an entry. Its stated outdoor suitability and reusable construction distinguish it from a fresh pumpkin that needs carving. If lighting coverage is the deciding factor, keep the mixed buyer feedback in mind and consider whether a decorative glow, rather than area illumination, is what your display needs.
