DUMOS Vanity Stool with Faux Fur Seat

What matters most

At a vanity or beside a living room chair, a small stool can do more than provide a place to sit. This DUMOS vanity stool combines a soft faux fur seat with a hidden 10 L compartment, giving you a spot to perch while keeping small items close but out of sight. Its slate gray finish and modern style are intended to blend with different interiors.

It can also serve as a footrest or, according to the product description, a coffee table. That flexibility is useful in a room where one piece needs to earn its space.

The storage is sized for smaller belongings, not bulky items. Keep in mind that the description gives no seat dimensions, weight limit, or details about cleaning the faux fur, so those needs may affect whether it works for your setup.

How to use it

Use the compartment for items such as magazines, small cosmetic bottles, or perfume, then lift the seat when you need them. That can help keep a dressing area from looking cluttered without adding a separate storage box. The metal legs are described as sturdy, and adjustable feet are included to help the stool sit steadily on surfaces such as wood floors or carpet.

Assembly is described as quick and requiring minimal effort, with an estimated setup time of about 10 minutes. That is a useful detail if you want a ready-to-use seat without a complicated build, though the exact assembly steps are not provided.

Practical tips

Picture getting ready in the morning: sit on the stool, keep a few everyday cosmetics inside, and return them to the compartment when you are done. In a living room, it can instead act as a footrest, with the storage holding magazines nearby. These are best suited to small items, the listed capacity is 10 L, so this is not a substitute for a larger organizer.

Compared with a basic stool that offers only a seat, the hidden storage adds a practical place to tuck things away. A larger vanity chair may make more sense if you want a more substantial seating setup, while this model is aimed at a small, multipurpose piece. The faux fur gives the seat a soft look and feel, but anyone who prefers a smooth, easy-wipe upholstery should weigh that material choice carefully.

It makes sense if you want a vanity seat that can also store a few essentials or serve as a footrest. Not the best choice if you need roomy storage or a chair with specified dimensions and weight capacity.

Before you decide

What fits inside? The 10 L compartment is described as suitable for magazines or small bottles of cosmetics and perfume, larger belongings may not fit as well.

Can it be used for more than sitting? Yes. The listed uses include a footrest and a coffee table, as well as a stool for a dressing table.

Does it need assembly? Yes. The description says assembly takes about 10 minutes and notes that the adjustable feet help with stability on different surfaces.

Should you buy it?

Choose this DUMOS stool if you want one small piece to cover seating, footrest, and light storage needs, and the slate gray faux fur suits your room. Its appeal is the combination of a cushioned seat and a 10 L compartment, rather than generous storage or detailed ergonomic specifications. If your priority is a larger seat, substantial capacity, or upholstery with stated cleaning instructions, a more specialized option would be a safer fit.
