## Description

Made from aluminum, the Dr. Kay's EB83071 shower chair offers a lightweight seat for bathing and showering. Its padded seat has drainage holes, helping water flow away instead of pooling on the surface.

The chair supports up to 350 pounds and has built-in side handles for added control while seated. Its height adjusts to suit different bathing setups.

Use it inside a bathtub or shower when sitting during bathing makes the routine more manageable. The compact footprint is also useful when a larger transfer bench would take up more space.

## What to know

This bath chair pairs an aluminum frame with a padded, anti-slip seat. Drainage holes help the seat dry after use, while the side handles provide a place to steady your hands and can also help with controlling a handheld showerhead. The chair supports up to 350 pounds, making it a practical seating option for adults who want added support while bathing, including seniors, pregnant users, and people recovering from surgery.

Customer feedback often highlights straightforward assembly, a stable feel, and a size that works well in tubs and smaller shower stalls. These impressions can help when comparing compact shower seating with a larger bench: this chair is designed to provide a place to sit without the broader format of a transfer bench.

## Quick sizing guide

The seat measures 16.7 by 10.5 inches, a compact footprint to consider when planning where it will sit in a tub or shower. Compare those dimensions with the available floor or tub space before setup. The adjustable legs let you tailor the seat height to the bathing area and the seated position that works for the user. Its maximum weight recommendation is 350 pounds.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Assembly uses wing-tipped screws and does not require tools. Once assembled, place the chair inside the bathing area and adjust its legs to set the seat height. The padded seat and drainage openings are suited to regular wet-area use, while the side handles can offer a convenient handhold as the user settles into position. After bathing, allowing water to drain through the seat helps it dry between uses. The lightweight aluminum construction also makes the chair easier to move between bathroom locations when needed.

## What to clarify

**What are the seat dimensions?** The seat measures 16.7 by 10.5 inches. Use these measurements to assess the available space inside a tub or shower.

**How much weight can the chair support?** Its maximum weight recommendation is 350 pounds.

**Does assembly require tools?** No. The chair is assembled with wing-tipped screws, so tools are not required.

## Is it worth it?

For someone who needs a dedicated seat inside the shower or bathtub, the EB83071 brings together adjustable height, a padded draining seat, side handles, and a 350-pound weight recommendation in a compact aluminum design. It is a useful fit when the priority is seated bathing support in a smaller footprint than a full transfer bench.
