## Description

For homeowners who want a softer, more secure-feeling surface on indoor stairs, these Domnesto carpet treads combine a cushioned pile with a peel-and-stick backing. Each tread has a rounded bullnose edge that covers the front of the step, while the light gray wavy stripe pattern adds a finished look.

The set includes 15 rectangular treads, each 30 inches long, with a textured loop-and-cut pile. Installation uses the built-in adhesive backing, so there is no separate tape or glue to apply.

## Getting the most from it

Place the treads on clean indoor stair steps and press them into position using the self-adhesive backing. The textured surface is designed to improve traction underfoot, and the cushioned pile adds softness as you move between floors. The rounded edge follows the front of each step, helping protect that exposed area from everyday foot traffic while giving the staircase a more finished appearance.

The polypropylene surface combines loop fibers with softer cut pile, bringing texture and cushioning together in one tread. Its striped pattern suits a range of interiors without making the stairs the visual focus. Buyers often call out the plush feel, straightforward installation, and adhesion, some also appreciate the available color. These comments describe buyer impressions, while the practical choice comes down to the stair dimensions and the look you want.

## Where it shines

These treads are suited to indoor staircases where a bare step feels hard underfoot or where added surface traction is welcome. The adhesive backing makes them a practical choice for someone who wants individual stair covers rather than a continuous runner. And what does the rounded front add? It extends the carpet over the stair edge, so the tread has a coordinated finish across both the walking surface and the front of the step.

For a consistent installation, measure the steps and position each tread evenly before pressing it down. The 30-inch length and 9.5-inch width give you a clear basis for planning placement. The treads are described as pet-friendly and designed for everyday household traffic, making them relevant for busy indoor stairways shared with children or pets.

## Questions before you buy

**How do you install the treads?** Peel away the backing and stick each tread directly to the stair. The self-adhesive TPR backing is designed to hold without separate tape or glue, and the product description says it can be removed cleanly without residue.

**What size is each tread?** Each piece measures 30 inches long by 9.5 inches wide and has a 1.5-inch bullnose drop. The set contains 15 pieces for planning coverage across a staircase.

**How should you care for them?** Vacuum or spot clean for routine care. For a deeper wash, hand wash in cold water with mild detergent and air dry. They are intended for indoor use and are not water resistant.

## Is it worth it?

If you want separate, cushioned covers rather than a stair runner, this set brings together a textured polypropylene pile, a rounded edge, and adhesive installation in one coordinated design. Its 15-piece format and 30-inch length make it especially useful for planning a uniform look across an indoor staircase, with a soft surface underfoot and a striped light gray finish.
