Dogcheer Dog Coat, Size S

What to know

The double-layer fleece lining is the main reason to consider this Dogcheer dog coat: it’s designed to help hold in warmth when cold weather makes a regular walk uncomfortable. A water-resistant polyester shell adds a layer against wind, light rain, snow, and moisture.

A foldable plush collar offers extra coverage around the neck and ears. Reflective strips along the back can also help your dog stand out during early-morning or evening walks.

Keep in mind that the jacket is not intended to work as a standalone raincoat. It’s better suited to cold, damp conditions than to a downpour, so a dog that needs full rain protection may need a different outer layer.

How it fits

The pullover design is meant to make dressing and undressing straightforward, while adjustable belly buckles let you snug the coat around your dog. There’s also a zippered leash opening, so you can attach a leash to a collar or harness without taking the jacket off. An inner fur guard helps keep hair clear of the zipper.

For size selection, use your dog’s neck girth, chest girth, and back length rather than relying on breed or weight. Prioritize back length for a long-bodied dog and chest girth for a broad-chested one, if measurements fall between sizes, the product guidance is to size up. The listing names this version as size S, but doesn’t provide the garment’s measurements here, so compare your dog’s measurements with the available size chart before choosing.

It makes sense if your dog gets chilly on winter walks and you want warmth, leash access, and visibility in one coat. You may want to skip it if your main need is a dedicated rain jacket or the exact fit can’t be confirmed from the size information available.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a cold-weather walk, fasten the belly buckles over your dog’s back, fold the plush collar for added neck coverage, and route the leash through the zippered opening. The reflective strips are a useful extra for low-light outings, though they don’t replace paying attention to traffic and your surroundings.

The coat is machine washable on a gentle cycle, which can simplify care after regular use. Check that the coat sits comfortably and doesn’t restrict movement before heading out. Its fleece-focused build favors warmth over a lightweight, minimal layer, so it may feel like more coat than a dog needs in mild weather.

Is it waterproof enough for heavy rain? The shell is described as water-resistant and intended to help with light rain, snow, and moisture. It is not meant to be a standalone raincoat.

Can I attach a leash without removing the coat? Yes. The jacket has a zippered opening for connecting a leash to a collar or harness.

How should I choose a size? Measure neck girth, chest girth, and back length, then use those measurements rather than breed or weight. The product guidance recommends sizing up when between sizes.

Final verdict

This coat is aimed at dogs that need more warmth than a basic, unlined layer can offer, especially short-haired, young, senior, or cold-sensitive dogs. The fleece lining, adjustable belly buckles, leash opening, and reflective details make it practical for everyday winter walks, snow play, and other outdoor outings. Its clearest tradeoff is weather protection: choose it for warmth and some resistance to damp conditions, not as your only defense against sustained rain. Accurate measuring matters, too, the adjustable fit helps, but it can’t make up for selecting the wrong size.
