## Description

With a 7-inch extension cord and two grounded AC outlets, the DEWENWILS HRS101F2 lets you switch connected lights and appliances on or off from indoors. Its weather-resistant polycarbonate housing is designed for indoor or outdoor use, making it practical for seasonal decorations, string lights, and landscape lighting.

The remote uses an RF signal with a stated range of up to 100 feet in open areas. It can work through walls and doors without a direct line of sight, so you can control outdoor lighting without walking to the outlet.

## What to know
This plug-in remote outlet is rated for 15 A and supports up to 1,875 W for resistive loads. It has two grounded outlets and a Type B plug. The 3-prong SJTW 14/3C extension cord connects the outlet to a wall receptacle, while the remote provides separate on and off buttons for straightforward operation.

For a seasonal lighting setup, plug the receiver into a suitable outlet, connect the lights, and use the remote from inside the house. The tool-free setup requires no programming. The outlet is expandable, and multiple sets can be used in the same home without interfering with one another or other RF remote systems. An included CR2032 3V battery powers the remote.

## Size & fit
The housing measures 5.75 inches deep, 1.57 inches wide, and 4.02 inches high. Its 7-inch cord adds a short extension between the wall receptacle and the outlet body, which can help position the unit for a connected lighting setup. The black polycarbonate shell is described as resistant to abrasion, moisture, cold, and sunlight. For outdoor use, place and connect it as intended for a weather-resistant electrical outlet, and keep the connected load within the stated rating.

## Practical tips
Use the remote to manage holiday lights, Halloween decorations, landscape fixtures, or other compatible appliances without reaching the outdoor outlet. The RF control does not require a clear line of sight, which is useful when the receiver is outside and the remote stays indoors. The stated range is up to 100 feet in open areas, walls and the layout between the remote and receiver can affect real-world operation.

Buyers often appreciate the simple on/off controls and the convenience of operating holiday lighting from inside. Feedback on remote distance and durability varies: some report good operation, while others describe shorter working distances or early failure. The product’s stated range and weather-resistant construction make its intended use clear, while customer experiences can differ by setup and conditions.

## When it makes sense
Choose this remote outlet when you want to control outdoor or indoor plug-in lighting from a more convenient spot, rather than switching it manually at the receptacle. The two grounded outlets, compact extension cord, and remote operation suit seasonal displays and everyday lighting setups where reaching the outlet is inconvenient. It suits you if easy on/off access and a weather-resistant design are central to how you plan to use your lights or appliances.
