DEWALT DXV10S-QT 10-Gallon Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum, 5 Peak HP, Quiet Tech

For cleanup that moves between wet spills, dry debris, and workshop dust, the DEWALT DXV10S-QT combines a 10-gallon wet/dry capacity with quiet technology. Its 7-foot hose and extension wands help reach across a garage or work area. An accessory kit keeps the vacuum ready for different cleanup tasks.

What stands out

The STEALTHSONIC vacuum is designed to handle both wet and dry messes, making it useful for garage floors, workshop debris, vehicle interiors, and outdoor cleanup. Its 10-gallon tank and built-in drain port support larger cleanup jobs, while the built-in accessory storage bag keeps the included tools together between uses. The 65 dB noise rating gives a concrete reference for buyers choosing a shop vacuum for a workspace where sound matters.

A 7-foot hose, 10-foot power cord, and two extension wands provide over 17 feet of cleaning reach. For example, when cleaning a vehicle or moving around a workshop, that reach helps cover more of the area before needing to reposition the vacuum. Four 360-degree rubberized casters support movement across the work area, and the non-marring design helps protect floors.

Key features

The DXV10S-QT has a 5 Peak HP motor and a single power level. Its cartridge filter is washable, and the included accessory kit provides options for different surfaces and tasks: a floor brush, round brush, utility nozzle, car nozzle, and tool adaptor. Two extension wands and a 1-7/8-inch hose round out the cleaning setup, while a foam filter and disposable dust bag are also included.

For wet cleanup, the built-in drain port offers a practical way to empty the tank. A large water-resistant on/off switch, heavy-duty top handle, hose strap, and quick-connect locking vacuum port make the main controls and hose connection easy to access. Compared with a smaller-capacity shop vacuum, this 10-gallon model is suited to jobs where holding more debris or liquid between emptying is useful.

Customers often praise the quieter operation, suction, and usefulness for workshop dust collection. Some also mention easy setup and filter changes, one buyer reports that the hose can detach, so securing the connection during use is worth keeping in mind.

Cleaning & care

The washable cartridge filter can be cleaned for reuse, and the included foam filter and disposable dust bag give you additional parts for the vacuum’s wet-and-dry setup. The accessory storage bag helps keep the nozzles and other attachments organized when the vacuum is stored or moved between tasks. Use the drain port when emptying collected liquid, then store the hose and accessories with the vacuum for the next cleanup.
