DasEpic Oversized Camping Chair 500 lbs

For adults who want more room and padding than a basic folding camp chair provides, the DasEpic oversized chair is designed for long stretches at a fishing spot, outdoor event, or backyard gathering. Its wide seat, high back, and reclining angle put comfort ahead of a compact, lightweight carry setup, while pockets and drink storage keep a few essentials close by.

At a fishing spot, for example, you can keep a drink in the insulated cooler bag and your phone in a side pocket instead of setting everything on the ground. The chair folds for transport and storage, with no assembly required.

Best use cases

This chair suits outings where you’ll be sitting in one place for a while and want a padded seat with room to shift position. The listed uses include camping, RV trips, tailgating, sporting events, beach visits, fishing, and backyard gatherings. Its non-slip feet are intended to help keep it steady on grass, dirt, and other outdoor surfaces.

Storage is part of the appeal: there’s an adjustable cup holder, side and rear pockets, an insulated cooler bag, and dual wine-glass holders that can also serve as hooks for hats or small accessories. That’s useful when you want drinks and small items within reach without adding a separate organizer.

Product specs

The seat measures 37.4 x 22.8 inches. The frame is rust-resistant steel with reinforced X-frame construction, and the chair is rated to support up to 500 lbs. The seat and back use breathable 600D Oxford fabric with thick, high-density padding. It weighs 11.9 lbs and includes a carry bag.

Those details point to a supportive, comfort-focused chair rather than a minimal seat meant to disappear into a small pack. The 11.9-pound weight is worth factoring in if your walk from the car to the campsite is long or you’re trying to keep carried gear light. Folded dimensions aren’t listed, so the exact storage footprint is unclear.

Where it shines

The wide seat and padded high back are the main reasons to choose this style over a simpler, unpadded folding chair. The recline angle and lumbar-support design are intended to make extended sitting less tiring, while the reinforced frame and stated 500-pound capacity address buyers looking for substantial support. That’s the intended combination, though the listing doesn’t provide details about adjustment positions or a specific recline range.

It’s a great fit if comfort, room to sit, and built-in storage matter more than minimizing carry weight. The practical tradeoff is that this is a full-size chair with accessories, not an ultralight option for hiking or packing into limited space.

When it makes sense

Without having tried it, the clearest reason to consider this chair is its mix of a roomy padded seat, a stated 500-pound capacity, and convenient storage for relaxed outdoor outings. A basic folding chair may make more sense if you only need an occasional seat and would rather carry less, a more compact design is also the more sensible direction when pack space is tight.

It’s not for you if low weight and a small packed footprint are top priorities, or if you need exact folded dimensions before planning storage. If you have room to transport a 11.9-pound chair and expect to sit for extended periods, its comfort-first layout and accessible drink and item storage match that use. If portability matters more than padding and seat room, choose a simpler approach.
