## Description

## Specifications
A sheltered spot on a porch, in a barn, or in the backyard can give outdoor cats a more comfortable place to rest during cold weather. The Dahivs PL4060 combines a heated pad with insulated, double-wall construction and an escape door in a roomy outdoor shelter.

Its elevated base helps keep the shelter off wet, cold ground, while the awning and transparent PVC door curtain help block rain. The design suits feral, community, barn, and other outdoor cats, including homes looking for space for multiple cats.

## Getting the most from it
The shelter’s double-layer PE walls have an air cavity between them to slow heat transfer. Together with the waterproof heating pad, this construction is designed to provide a warmer retreat in cold conditions. The exit-only escape door gives cats another way out in an emergency, while its transparent panel lets them see outside from the shelter.

Its outdoor features support placement in settings such as a patio, porch, backyard, garden, balcony, garage, or barn. The elevated design helps separate the resting area from damp ground, and the awning and door curtain help keep rain from entering. Compared with an unheated outdoor shelter, the PL4060 adds a heating pad and insulated walls for people setting up a dedicated cold-weather refuge.

## Usage tips
Assemble the house according to the included instructions, fitting the roof and base grooves together for a stable structure. Choose a practical outdoor location where cats can approach and leave freely. The raised base, rain-covering awning, and door curtain make the shelter useful in exposed outdoor settings, while a porch, garage, or barn can provide another convenient place to set it up.

The roof and bottom are designed to stack together as a multi-story arrangement, which can help make use of vertical space when sheltering more than one cat. Buyers often praise the straightforward assembly, warmth, durability, and room for multiple cats. Feedback on the escape door is mixed: some owners say it opens easily from inside, while others report missing door flaps.

## Practical questions
**Does the shelter provide heat?** Yes. It comes equipped with a waterproof heating pad, and the double-layer PE walls include an air cavity designed to slow heat transfer.

**Where can I use the PL4060?** It is intended for outdoor cats and can be placed on a patio, porch, in a backyard, garden, balcony, garage, or barn.

**How does the escape door work?** It is designed as an exit-only door so a cat can leave in an emergency while the opening helps keep cold air out. Its transparent panel allows cats to see outside.

## Should you buy it?
The Dahivs PL4060 is a practical fit for anyone creating a cold-weather refuge for outdoor, feral, community, or barn cats. Its heated pad, insulated double walls, raised base, and escape door bring warmth and useful outdoor shelter features together in one spacious design.
