## Description

For a mechanical keyboard refresh that keeps its lighting visible, the dagaladoo Shine Through keycap set pairs translucent PC keycaps with side-printed legends. Its dark gray color and Japanese-inspired style give the board a distinct look. Choose it for a light-through design rather than an opaque set that covers more of the keyboard’s glow.

## How it fits
The 115-key set is designed for full-size and smaller mechanical keyboard layouts, including 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, and 100% keyboards. It is described as compatible with MX-style switches, making switch type an important fit check when choosing keycaps. The included layout is QWERTY, so the set is intended for boards using that arrangement.

The translucent material lets keyboard lighting pass through, while the legends sit on the sides of the keycaps. The manufacturer notes that the set is better suited to north-facing keyboards. On a south-facing board, characters may be harder to see under bright RGB lighting, dimming the lighting can help make them clearer. This is a useful distinction when choosing between a lighting-focused transparent set and a more conventional opaque keycap set.

## Strengths
Polycarbonate construction gives the keycaps a clear, jelly-like appearance and is described as resistant to friction and wear. The side-printed legends and translucent body allow light to show through the characters and outlines, helping the keyboard’s lighting remain part of the overall look. This design can also make the legends easier to locate in low light, depending on the keyboard’s lighting and orientation.

The MDA profile has a gently rounded shape and flatter key surfaces. Its broader contact area is intended to provide a comfortable-feeling surface for typing, while the profile adds a softer visual style than sharply sculpted keycaps. Dark gray coloring, clear PC material, and Japanese-inspired styling make the set a distinctive choice for a mechanical keyboard customization project, whether the board is used for gaming or office work.

## Final verdict
This set is suited to keyboard owners who want their board’s lighting to show through the keycaps and prefer side-printed legends over top-printed ones. Its 115-key layout coverage, MX-style switch fit, and MDA profile make it a practical choice for refreshing a compatible mechanical keyboard while adding a dark gray, illuminated look. For the clearest view of the legends, the manufacturer’s guidance favors north-facing keyboards or a dimmer lighting level on south-facing boards.
