Cuisipro Grill/Fry Tongs, 12-Inch

The wide tips have draining holes, so excess fat and oil can fall away as you lift food from a pan or grill. These 12-inch stainless steel tongs are designed to keep your hands farther from hot surfaces while giving you control over a range of cooking tasks. A pull-to-lock mechanism makes them easy to close for storage, and the dishwasher-safe design keeps cleanup straightforward. The tradeoff is that a wide-tip shape may not be as suited to tasks that call for a narrower grip, Cuisipro also offers a narrow version.

Technical details

These are 12-inch grill/fry tongs made from stainless steel, with wide tips and draining holes. The holes let fats and oils pass through rather than collecting at the tips, which is useful when lifting food from cooking oil or a grill. The tongs use a patented locking pull mechanism: push to open and pull to lock them for storage. They’re dishwasher safe, so routine cleanup doesn’t require hand washing according to the product information.

The length is intended to provide some distance from hot surfaces, not to make handling hot food risk-free. Keep a secure grip and use care around hot oil, especially when moving food from a pan. The wide version is the focus here, the listed alternative is a narrow version, rather than a different length or material.

Getting the most from it

Use the wide tips when you want a broader hold on food during grilling or frying, and let excess oil drain through the holes before transferring a piece to a plate. For example, lifting a fried item from a pan and pausing briefly over the pan gives oil a moment to drip back before serving. The tongs can also handle other cooking tasks, though the product details don’t specify particular foods or a maximum load.

After cooking, push the mechanism to open the tongs for use, then pull it to lock them for storage. That simple motion is worth getting familiar with before the utensil is near a hot pan. If your cooking often involves delicate or small pieces that need a more targeted grip, the narrow version may suit that job better. A solid pick if you want wide stainless steel tongs with draining tips and a locking design. Not the best choice if you specifically need a narrow tip or want product details such as weight or dimensions beyond the stated length.

Questions before you buy

Are these tongs dishwasher safe? Yes. The product description says they’re dishwasher safe.

How does the locking mechanism work? Push to open the tongs and pull to lock them for storage.

Do the tips drain oil? Yes. Holes in the wide tips allow fats and oils to fall through as you lift food.

Is it worth it?

These Cuisipro tongs make the most sense if wide tips, oil-draining holes, a 12-inch length, and a lockable handle match the way you cook. They offer more purpose-built features than basic tongs without requiring a complicated setup, and the dishwasher-safe construction is convenient after greasy cooking. The main decision is tip shape: choose this version for a broader hold, or look at the narrow version if precision is more important. If you need more information before deciding, the listing doesn’t provide details such as weight or exact tip dimensions.
