## Description

This Craftsman mechanic tool set brings a full workshop kit into a portable 3-drawer VERSASTACK box for home garages and roadside repairs. It combines a comprehensive selection of SAE and metric sockets, ratchets, wrenches and specialty bits to tackle car and motorcycle maintenance while keeping tools organized and easy to transport.

## Key Points

The set includes a low-profile ratchet head that is up to 25% thinner in key sizes, helping reach fasteners in tight spaces. The 72-tooth ratchet mechanism delivers a 5-degree arc swing for small, precise movements in confined areas. The VERSASTACK storage system allows the three drawers to be stacked on top of other modules, giving flexible organization and temporary access during a job. A spring-loaded ball latch secures drawers and permits one-handed opening and closing when you need quick access.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Craftsman 262-Piece Mechanic Tool Set (CMMT45309)**
- Pieces: - 262 pieces total.
- Ratchet teeth: - 72 teeth with 5-degree arc swing.
- Low-profile head: - 6.35 mm and 9.52 mm thinner head comparisons noted by the manufacturer.
- Storage: - 3-drawer VERSASTACK box with stackable system.
- Extras: - Includes SAE and metric socket sets, combination wrenches and spark plug sockets.

## Benefits

Having both SAE and metric sockets in one kit reduces the need for separate tool collections when working on mixed-vehicle fleets or doing DIY repairs. The thinner ratchet head and fine tooth count improve reach and control around obstructed fasteners, making repetitive tasks less frustrating. The spring-ball latch and drawer layout speed up workflow by letting one person access tools while holding parts or other equipment.

## Usage Recommendations

Store the toolbox in a dry place to limit corrosion and keep sockets organized by size inside the drawers for faster retrieval. For tight engine bays or motorcycle work, use the low-profile ratchet and smaller sockets first, then switch to larger drivers as needed. Consider combining this VERSASTACK unit with additional compatible modules for a custom storage setup that fits your workspace.
