Colitt Fishing Lure Advent Calendar

Getting the most from it

A tackle box can always use a few new options, but choosing individual lures takes time. This calendar turns the countdown to Christmas into a daily fishing surprise, with one numbered compartment to open each day for 24 days.

The assortment is described as including crankbaits, minnows, VIB lures, poppers, pencil baits, frog baits, spoons, spinners, soft plastic shrimp, and jointed swimbaits. That makes the unboxing part of the gift, rather than simply handing over a single lure.

Picture opening a compartment at breakfast, then setting that lure aside to try on your next lake or river trip. If you prioritize variety and a festive reveal, this format has appeal, if you prefer to choose every lure for a specific technique, buying pieces individually gives you more control.

Why it’s worth it

The main draw is the combination of a 24-day countdown and a collection that can add different lure styles to an angler’s tackle box. It’s aimed at adult anglers and teen boys, and the calendar format also makes it easy to give as a holiday gift without assembling a separate bundle. Each lure has its own compartment, which is intended to keep the contents separated in the box.

The description names both freshwater and saltwater fishing and lists a range of target species, but those broad claims are not a guarantee that every lure will suit every location or fish. The actual selection is assorted, so you won’t be choosing the specific lures, sizes, or colors before opening the calendar. It’s a great fit if the recipient enjoys trying different lure styles and the surprise is part of the fun.

Key features

The product is a 2026 fishing lure advent calendar with 24 numbered doors. The listed assortment spans hard baits, topwater styles, metal lures, soft plastic shrimp, and jointed swimbaits. The description also calls out realistic eyes, holographic finishes, and treble hooks, handle the hooks carefully when opening compartments or organizing the lures.

The calendar is presented for use in freshwater and saltwater settings, including lakes, rivers, bays, and shore or boat fishing. However, the named lure mix is made up of conventional fishing lures rather than a clearly specified selection of flies. Despite the broad fly-fishing language, anglers shopping for a dedicated fly-fishing kit should look for details about actual flies and tackle. Better avoided if you need a tailored set for one species, technique, or fishing setup.

When it makes sense

Choose this calendar when the recipient is happy to discover an assortment and would enjoy opening a small fishing-related gift each day before Christmas. It may also suit someone building a general tackle box who is open to experimenting, rather than an angler who already knows exactly which lure they want next.

The variety is the selling point, but it also means the contents may not match a particular fishing plan. The product description doesn’t specify the individual lure sizes or colors, so anglers with precise requirements should weigh that uncertainty before choosing it. On the spec sheet, the broad range of species and water types sounds versatile, in practice, success still depends on matching a lure to local conditions and the way you fish. If a festive surprise matters more than a fully customized lure selection, the calendar’s format is the stronger reason to consider it.
