Coleman North Rim 0°F Big & Tall Sleeping Bag ⛺
Product description
This cold-weather mummy sleeping bag from Coleman keeps campers warm down to 0°F while giving extra room for taller users who need length and shoulder space. The Big & Tall design fits sleepers up to 6 ft 2 in, and the adjustable hood plus ventilation options help balance warmth and breathability in variable conditions.
Key Points
The bag uses Coletherm hollow polyester insulation that aims to retain heat with less bulk, according to the manufacturer. A Thermolock tube runs alongside the zipper to reduce heat loss where many bags leak warmth. The no-snag zipper simplifies closing and opening without catching fabric. Machine washable fabric makes post-trip cleaning straightforward. Note that the temperature rating is 0°F, which corresponds to about -17.8°C.

Benefits
The longer 82-inch length gives more comfort for taller campers and reduces foot constriction during overnight stays. The mummy shape and adjustable hood help concentrate warmth around the head and torso for colder nights. The Thermolock tube is a practical feature that limits drafts along the zipper line, preserving interior temperature. Lightweight polyester insulation makes packing and carrying the bag easier than some heavier down options.
Usage Recommendations
For best warmth, zip the bag fully and cinch the hood when temperatures drop near the stated limit. Leave small vents or partially open the zipper if you begin to overheat during milder nights. Machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry or tumble dry low following the manufacturer's instructions to maintain loft and insulation performance. Consider that synthetic insulation performs better than down when damp, but may not compress as small for ultralight backpacking.
