Cobbe KSCD403-3 Filtered Handheld Showerhead, 6 Spray Modes, Matte Black

A shower upgrade can focus on flexible spray options, filtered water, or both. The Cobbe KSCD403-3 combines a handheld showerhead with filter media and six spray modes. Its matte black finish and detachable design add practical flexibility to everyday showering.

Highlights

The filter uses KDF-55 and calcium sulfite media and is designed to reduce chlorine and other impurities in shower water. A one-button control lets you switch between six spray modes with one hand, so you can adjust the spray while holding the showerhead. The stated flow rate is 1.8 GPM, and the panel has more than 144 water outlets for broad coverage.

The handheld unit detaches from its base and connects to a 60-inch hose, making it easier to direct water while showering or rinsing. Its round panel has soft silicone nozzles designed to help prevent limescale and dirt buildup. The matte black finish gives the fixture a coordinated look, while the body is made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).

Care tips

The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter cartridge every 4–6 months, or sooner depending on water use, to maintain filtration performance. The silicone nozzles are described as self-cleaning, which helps with routine upkeep. During installation, the built-in gasket is intended to seal the connection, if using Teflon tape, the manufacturer recommends 2–3 turns.

Everyday use

For a daily shower, choose among the six spray settings with the thumb control, then detach the head when you want to direct the spray by hand. The hose length supports flexible positioning, while the filter media is intended for people who want filtration as part of their shower setup rather than a handheld head without a filter. A standard shower arm with a G1/2 thread is the stated connection, and installation is designed to be straightforward.

Customer feedback often highlights the water pressure, choice of settings, appearance, and how hair and skin feel after showering. Experiences with settings are mixed, and some buyers report leakage or durability problems. This feedback can help set expectations alongside the product’s stated features.

What to clarify

How often should the filter cartridge be replaced? The manufacturer recommends changing it every 4–6 months, or sooner based on water usage.

Can a TDS meter measure chlorine? No. The product information notes that TDS meters do not measure chlorine or chloramine, so they are not a way to check for those disinfectants.

Will it connect to a standard shower arm? It uses a G1/2 thread, described as fitting a standard shower arm. The included components are the handheld shower body, hose, and base.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want a handheld showerhead that brings together six selectable spray modes, a detachable design, and filter media in one fixture. The one-button control supports quick adjustments during a shower, while the 60-inch hose gives you room to direct the spray. For a bathroom refresh that pairs a matte black look with filtered handheld use, the Cobbe KSCD403-3 offers a specific set of practical features for everyday routines.
