Ciays Tabletop Propane Fire Pit, 28-Inch

The glass wind guard helps shield the flame from a breeze while keeping it visible, so this 28-inch tabletop propane fire pit can add warmth and a focal point without hiding the fire behind a solid cover. Its adjustable flame and stated 50,000 BTU output are aimed at patio and deck gatherings where people want to sit around a table, not tend a wood-burning fire.

Blue glass beads add a decorative finish. The unit is built with a steel frame and a 304 stainless steel burner.

Where it shines

This Ciays fire pit is designed to sit on a table and provide a gas flame at conversation height. Picture setting it on an outdoor coffee table while friends linger after dinner: the glass shield gives a clear view of the flame and helps protect it from a breeze. The listing describes the flame as smokeless, though that shouldn’t be treated as a guarantee for every setup or outdoor condition.

The flame height is adjustable, which gives you some control over the look and output rather than locking you into one setting. If you prioritize an easy-to-see flame and a compact tabletop centerpiece, the glass guard and beads suit that purpose, if you prefer the more traditional feel of a wood fire, this propane design is a different approach.

What matters most

The advertised heat output is 50,000 BTU. That gives a useful point of comparison when shopping, but it doesn’t tell you exactly how warm people will feel: results depend on the surroundings and how the fire pit is positioned. Its listed dimensions are 28.27 inches deep, 7.28 inches wide, and 8.27 inches high, so check the tabletop space and layout before choosing a spot.

A practical detail is the hose connector’s two placement options. It can attach underneath for a table with an umbrella hole, or move to the side for a table without one. That makes it less dependent on a specific table style, though the setup still needs a suitable outdoor table and a propane supply. The listed package includes a hose with valve, glass wind guard, and blue glass beads, it does not identify a propane tank as included.

The piezo igniter sits on the side. The instructions say to press and turn it to ON, hold for five seconds to ignite, then adjust the flame as needed. You’ll appreciate it if you want a table-mounted gas flame with an adjustable setting. It’s not for you if you need a freestanding fire pit or want a wood-burning setup. On the spec sheet, the output is a headline figure, not a promise of uniform heat across a seating area.

Best use cases

This format makes sense for a patio or deck table where a freestanding fire pit would take up more floor space. It may also work for camping when there’s a stable, suitable table and a propane setup available, the product is described as portable, but no weight is provided, so ease of carrying is hard to judge. The wind guard is a helpful feature for a mildly breezy setting, not a reason to assume the flame will stay unaffected in stronger wind.

When it makes sense

Choose this model if your priority is a visible, adjustable propane flame on a table, and the two hose-routing options fit the table you plan to use. The supplied glass guard, decorative beads, and hose with valve give the setup a more complete feel than a bare tabletop burner. Skip it if your main need is a floor-standing fire feature, or if you expect the listing to establish how much area it will heat: that performance detail isn’t specified. Before setting it out, make sure your intended table arrangement and propane supply suit the connection and placement.
