## Description

A built-in hood suits a permanent kitchen setup, the CIARRA CBPHB01 is made for a more flexible countertop approach. Its portable, recirculating design offers a way to manage cooking fumes without ductwork or drilling.

The compact unit is sized for apartments, smaller kitchens, RVs, and temporary cooking areas. Two speed settings let you choose a lower setting for lighter cooking or a higher one for heavier smoke.

A three-layer filter system combines a polymer filter, an aluminum alloy condensation net, and an activated carbon filter. The detachable aluminum filter and large oil cup make routine cleanup more straightforward.

## Worth noting

This range hood is designed to capture oil fumes, grease, and cooking odors as air passes through its three-layer filtration system. Its recirculating ventilation returns filtered air to the room, so it does not require duct installation. The manufacturer positions it as a compact alternative for places where a full-size hood or a permanent installation is not practical, rather than a replacement for a full-size hood’s smoke-removal power.

Choose between two speeds to suit the cooking task: low for lighter cooking and mild odors, or high for heavier smoke. The listed airflow capacity is 100 cfm, and the listed noise level is 65 dB. Push-button controls keep operation simple, while the matte black finish gives the countertop unit a clean, understated look.

Buyer feedback is mixed. Some appreciate its appearance and countertop size for smaller condo kitchens, while experiences with odor and grease capture, noise, and continued operation vary. Its compact format and filtration approach are the key considerations when comparing it with a permanently installed hood.

## Size & fit

The unit measures 6.3 inches deep, 6.3 inches wide, and 13.6 inches high, with a listed weight of 3 pounds. Its small footprint helps keep countertop space available for food preparation, and its portable form makes it easier to reposition or store between cooking sessions. It is suited to apartments, small kitchens, RVs, and indoor BBQ or hot pot setups where a countertop appliance is more practical than a fixed hood.

## Usage tips

Place the hood on the countertop near the cooking area, connect the included US standard plug to a suitable outlet, and select the speed that fits the meal. No drilling or duct setup is required. For lighter cooking, the low setting is intended to handle mild odors, use the high setting for heavier smoke.

After cooking, the filter and oil cup can be rinsed with water, and the main unit can be wiped clean. This simple care routine helps remove collected grease before the next use. Keep the appliance positioned for countertop use and follow the included instruction manual for setup and operation.

## Buying verdict

The CIARRA CBPHB01 is a practical fit for cooks who need portable, recirculating ventilation in a compact space. Its small footprint, two speeds, three-layer filtration, and rinse-clean filter and oil cup make it useful for everyday apartment cooking, hot pot, or indoor BBQ. Choose it for flexible countertop use where a permanent hood is not the right setup.
