## Description

A waterproof layer gives the ChiXnuggle blanket a practical role beyond providing a soft place to rest: it is designed to help protect a couch, bed, or car seat from liquid spills and accidents. Its faux fur and Sherpa sides offer two different textures, so you can turn the blanket over to suit your dog’s resting spot.

The XL size measures 50" x 60" and is listed for large dogs. That gives you a defined area to cover rather than a full-furniture slipcover, which matters if you want protection across a wide sofa or an entire back seat.

## Key features

The reversible construction pairs faux fur with Sherpa, giving the blanket a soft side and a cozy fleece side. It is also described as lightweight and suitable for all seasons. For everyday lounging, it can create a more comfortable spot on furniture while helping keep hair and dirt off the surface underneath. The waterproof layer is intended to add protection from liquid, a useful distinction from a regular throw blanket that offers softness but is not described as waterproof.

Its dark gray color is a neutral choice for many rooms and car interiors. The blanket is intended for use on couches, beds, and car seats, as well as for travel. It can also be folded or packed, although the product information does not give a packed size or describe a carrying case.

## Maintenance

Care instructions call for washing in cold water and tumble drying on low. That makes routine cleaning part of the product’s intended use, especially when it is placed where a dog regularly rests or rides. The instructions do not specify a washing frequency, so follow the care directions when cleaning is needed rather than assuming a particular schedule.

Buyers commonly describe the blanket as soft and comfortable, and some say it remains soft after washing. Other feedback highlights its thickness, durability, and usefulness for keeping hair off furniture. These are customer impressions, not a guarantee of how it will perform in every home or after repeated washing.

## How to use it

Spread the blanket over the specific area your dog uses, such as a couch cushion, bed, or car seat. Choose the faux fur or Sherpa side that suits the resting surface, and reposition it as needed. For a trip, its foldable design makes it possible to bring a familiar resting layer along, the stated dimensions also help you judge whether it will cover the intended seat or furniture area before you choose it.

A solid pick if you want a washable, reversible dog blanket with a waterproof layer for a defined spot at home or in the car. You may want to skip it if you need one cover to span a larger sofa or a broad seating area: at 50" x 60", this is a single throw-sized blanket, not a fitted furniture cover.

## Final verdict

The ChiXnuggle XL combines two soft surfaces with a waterproof layer and straightforward cold-wash, low-heat care. It makes more sense than an ordinary throw when spill protection is part of the reason for covering a dog’s resting place. Its appeal depends on the area you need to protect: the listed size suits a specific lounging spot, while larger furniture may call for a broader cover.
