Chalzidar 1000-Piece Butterfly Specimen Jigsaw Puzzle, 27.5 x 19.7 Inches

At 27.5 x 19.7 inches when complete, this Chalzidar jigsaw puzzle features a colorful collection of butterfly specimens in a vintage scientific illustration style.

The 1,000-piece design brings 24 butterflies together, with detailed wing patterns and a vintage paper look that give the image plenty to explore as you work.

A 1:1 HD reference poster provides a helpful guide, while letter markings on the back of the pieces offer another way to sort sections during assembly.

Highlights

The butterfly specimen artwork makes this puzzle a distinctive alternative to landscape or abstract designs. Each of the 24 illustrated butterflies has its own colors and details, so you can focus on one section at a time or follow the poster to build the full image. Fade-resistant HD printing is intended to capture the fine wing details and vintage paper texture.

The pieces are made from thick paper and recycled cardboard, with interlocking cuts designed for a snug fit. ABCD letter markings on the back can help organize pieces into groups, while the included reference poster gives you a full-size visual guide. Prefer sorting by color and pattern, or assembling by lettered sections? Both approaches give you a clear way to get started.

Designed for tabletop use indoors, the puzzle offers a hands-on activity for quiet solo time or a shared puzzle session. Its 1,000-piece format also provides room to build gradually, returning to different butterfly sections as you go.

Size & fit

The finished puzzle measures 27.5 x 19.7 inches, so choose a tabletop that can accommodate the completed layout as well as the pieces you are sorting. The rectangular image is easy to divide into recognizable areas, and the poster can sit nearby as a reference while you assemble it. The puzzle is recommended for ages 14 and up.

Once complete, the butterfly artwork can also serve as a decorative display. The product description notes that it may be hung on a wall, plan the display around the finished puzzle’s stated dimensions.

Who it’s for

This design suits teens and adults who enjoy detailed illustrations, nature themes, or a puzzle they can work on over more than one sitting. For a gift, the puzzle comes in a color box and includes the reference poster, making the artwork and assembly guide part of the presentation.

It can also be a fitting choice for someone who prefers an illustrated specimen collection over a conventional scenic image. The memory and problem-solving focus makes the activity engaging, while the tabletop format works well for a family game night, a rainy day, or a relaxed indoor project.
