Chalkola Watercolor Paint Set, 36 Tubes

For beginners building a first watercolor kit, families sharing art supplies, and more experienced painters who want a broad set of colors in one box, this Chalkola set combines paint tubes with brushes and a palette. The tubes let you squeeze out a small amount for a quick color test or a larger portion for a longer painting session. Metallic watercolors add another finish to experiment with. It’s a practical all-in-one starting point, though paper is not listed among the included items.

Key specifications

• Type: Watercolor paint set
• Format: Paint tubes
• Capacity: 36 tubes, 12 ml (0.4 oz) each
• Included tools: 10 brushes and 1 palette
• Paint selection: Includes metallic watercolors

The tube format is useful when you want to control how much paint goes onto the palette instead of working from a shared pan. For example, you can squeeze out a little blue and yellow, mix a green on the included palette, and put the caps back on when you’re done. The set is described as artist-grade, but details such as pigment composition and lightfastness aren’t provided, so painters choosing colors for archival work may want more specific paint information.

Who it’s for

This set suits casual painting at home, beginner practice, and creative projects where having many colors and basic tools together matters more than choosing every brush individually. Its contents also make it easy to move from testing color mixes to painting without first assembling a separate palette and brush collection. The description mentions use on canvas and watercolor pads, among other surfaces, but doesn’t specify which paper weights or canvas preparations work best.

It makes sense if you want a ready-to-use assortment for experimenting, lessons, or shared household art time. Not the best choice if you need confirmed pigment or permanence details, or if you’re looking for a kit that also supplies painting paper. From the way it is set up, it’s more focused on providing a broad assortment and basic tools than on documenting technical paint properties.

Included in the package

The listed package contains 36 watercolor paint tubes, 10 painting brushes, and 1 palette. Metallic watercolors are included in the paint selection. Paper is not listed, so plan on having a watercolor pad or another suitable surface available before starting. The individual tubes help keep the paints organized and let you dispense paint as needed, they don’t remove the need to clean the palette and brushes after painting.

Practical doubts

Are the brushes and palette included? Yes. The package description lists 10 brushes and 1 palette alongside the 36 paint tubes.

Can I use the paints on watercolor paper? Watercolor pads are named as a suitable surface in the product description. It doesn’t give paper weight or other preparation guidance.

Is this set intended only for experienced painters? No. The description presents it for beginners as well as seasoned artists, so it can serve for practice or general creative projects. It doesn’t provide technical color-performance details for specialized work.

Buying verdict

Choose this set if your priority is getting a varied tube-based watercolor assortment, a palette, and brushes together for practice or everyday painting. It offers a different starting point from a basic pan set: you can dispense paint directly from tubes and control the amount on the palette, while also having metallic colors in the selection. The trade-off is that the listing doesn’t identify the paints’ pigment or lightfastness properties, and you’ll need to provide your own paper. If those details matter more than having a broad kit in one purchase, a paint set with published pigment information may be a better fit.
