## Description

The 12-gauge, 10-foot extension cord gives this CCCEI power strip extra reach for organizing tools and equipment around a garage or workshop. Eight outlets provide multiple connection points in one metal, wall-mountable unit, while the on/off switch makes it easy to control power at the strip.

With a 20-amp rating and 4,800-joule surge protection, it’s built for a work area where several devices need convenient access to power.

## Where it shines
Set it up on a workshop wall or near a garage workbench to bring eight outlets within reach instead of relying on a basic strip placed on the floor. Its mounting design helps keep cords and connections organized, and the 10-foot cord offers flexibility when the work area is not right beside an outlet. That layout can be useful for powering a mix of equipment at a shared station, such as tools and networking gear.

The 20-amp rating, overload protection, grounding protection, and built-in circuit breaker are practical features for a heavy-duty power strip. Surge protection is rated at 4,800 joules. Customers also highlight the sturdy construction and the convenience of having several outlets together, including for setups with multiple devices. Those comments reflect buyer experiences rather than a performance guarantee.

Compared with a simple, unmounted household strip, this model combines a metal enclosure, wall-mounting design, longer cord, and dedicated switch. It suits a fixed work area where access and organization matter as much as adding outlets.

## The essentials
- Type: Heavy-duty power strip with surge protection
- Outlets: 8
- Cord: 12-gauge, 10 feet
- Maximum current: 20 A
- Surge protection rating: 4,800 joules
- Voltage: 125 volts
- Enclosure: Metal
- Plug: Type B, three-pin (NEMA 5-15P)
- Controls and protection: On/off switch, reset button, overload and grounding protection

## Getting the most from it
Mount the strip where its outlets and switch are convenient to reach, then route connected cords so they stay orderly around the work surface. Keep liquids away from the sockets and avoid overloading the strip. Do not disassemble the unit unless you are a qualified professional. For outdoor use, protect the strip from exposure to the elements.

The switch provides a central way to turn connected equipment on or off, while the reset function supports the unit’s circuit-breaker design. For a garage or workshop setup, placing the strip near the equipment it serves makes the eight outlets easier to access and keeps the cord run practical.

## Is it worth it?
For a garage, workshop, or equipment station that needs several outlets in one mountable location, the CCCEI CC20A-08-01 brings together an eight-outlet layout, a 12-gauge 10-foot cord, a metal enclosure, and 4,800-joule surge protection. Its combination of outlet access, a wall-mounting design, and a built-in switch makes it a useful fit for organizing power around a dedicated work area.
