## Description

## At a glance

Compact and portable, the CAMPLUX BW211 brings on-demand hot water to outdoor showers, campsites, and other off-grid settings. It runs on liquid propane and delivers up to 2.11 GPM with a maximum heat output of 55,000 BTU, giving you a practical way to get hot water when a fixed household system is not part of the setup.

Electronic ignition uses two D-cell batteries, and the Eco/Full switch lets you adjust the heater’s operating mode. The package includes a 5-foot gas regulator, a 5-foot on/off showerhead, installation hardware, and an instruction manual.

## Size & fit

Its portable format suits trips and temporary outdoor setups where a compact water-heating unit is more useful than a permanently installed system. The heater is designed for vertical mounting so exhaust gases can vent properly. It needs a water supply with at least 3.6 PSI to start, and it runs from a standard 20-pound liquid propane tank.

For setup, follow the instructions and check for gas leaks before operating. Do not use Teflon tape between the gas regulator and the heater’s gas inlet. If storing the unit in cold conditions, drain it and disconnect the water lines to help protect the heat exchanger and valves from freeze damage.

## Best use cases

The BW211 is suited to outdoor showers while camping, hiking, or hunting, as well as rinsing pets, horses, and vehicles. Its portable design and included showerhead make it a useful choice when hot water is needed away from a conventional bathroom. It is also described for remote cabins and rural settings with a suitable water supply.

A fixed, permanently plumbed system serves a different need, this propane model is aimed at bringing hot water to outdoor or off-grid tasks. Buyer feedback often highlights the heat output, ease of setup, and usefulness for camping and outdoor showers. Temperature control receives mixed comments, and some buyers report leaks or durability problems, so careful installation and the recommended checks matter.

## Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you want a portable propane heater for outdoor washing and showering, with a showerhead and regulator included for the setup. The 55,000 BTU output, flow rate up to 2.11 GPM, and battery-powered ignition bring together the core functions needed for a campsite rinse, pet wash, or remote shower. For those tasks, the BW211 offers a focused alternative to relying on a fixed hot-water installation.
