Camping Lantern 2-Pack

At a campsite, during a hike, or when a power outage leaves a room dark, a light that can switch between broad illumination and a handheld beam has practical appeal. This two-pack combines a collapsible lantern with a flashlight, red warning light, and magnetic base, so each unit can serve more than one purpose. You can recharge the built-in battery by USB or use three AA batteries instead, the AA batteries are not included. The trade-off is that the product information gives no runtime, water-resistance rating, or brightness measurement to help you judge performance for a specific trip.

How to use it

Pull the handle up to open the lantern, or collapse it for a more compact flashlight-style form. Its COB lighting is described as providing 360-degree coverage, which suits lighting a tent or a small campsite rather than directing all the light at one distant spot. For instance, you could set one lantern near the tent entrance while using the other as a handheld light to find gear in a bag. The base has three magnets for attaching a lantern to a metal surface, leaving your hands free, hanging it from a tree or another support is also an option.

There are four lighting modes, including lantern illumination, a flashlight, and red warning light with strobe and SOS functions. Would those extra modes matter more to you than a simpler lamp with fewer controls? They are useful to have for different situations, though the listing doesn’t explain how long each mode runs between charges. The maker describes the body as water-resistant, but provides no rating, so that claim alone doesn’t establish how it will handle sustained exposure to rain.

It’s a great fit if you want two adaptable lights for camping, hiking, or backup use around the home. It’s not for you if you need a documented brightness level, verified weather protection, or a stated runtime before choosing emergency lighting.

Pros

• Two lanterns and two USB charging cables are included.
• A built-in rechargeable battery can also be supplemented by three AA batteries per lantern, batteries are sold separately.
• The collapsible design can shift between lantern and flashlight use.
• A magnetic base and hanging handle offer options for positioning the light.
• Red warning light modes include strobe and SOS.

The dual power approach is handy when you want a backup to USB charging, but it does mean bringing AA batteries if you plan to rely on that option. Compared with a basic single-mode lantern, this set offers more ways to direct or place the light, a more demanding emergency setup may call for performance details that aren’t provided here.

Is it worth it?

This set makes sense when flexibility and having a second light matter more than precise performance specifications. The collapsible body, magnetic base, alternate AA power, and warning modes give it several useful roles at a campsite or during a household outage. Choose it for general-purpose illumination and backup options, not as a light with a documented runtime or a confirmed level of protection against harsh weather. If those details determine whether a lantern is suitable for your plans, the missing figures are a meaningful reason to look for a more fully specified alternative.
