Callsun N-Type 16BB 400W solar panel 100W kit ☀
Product description
This set of four compact 100 W solar panels delivers a combined 400 watts of output using N-type monocrystalline cells that prioritize higher conversion efficiency and stable power for RVs, off-grid cabins, rooftops and home backup setups. With a focus on compact installation and heat resistance, these panels aim to provide reliable generation in space-constrained or hot environments.
Key Points
The panels use N-type 16BB cell technology and the manufacturer states up to 25% conversion efficiency, which helps boost power output compared with standard 100 W modules. Each panel is compact and lightweight at 31.1 × 22.7 × 1.1 inches and 11.4 pounds, making mounting on vans, small rooftops and balconies easier. The 16-busbar design reduces hotspots and microcrack risk, which contributes to steadier long-term performance. According to the manufacturer, the modules tolerate high temperatures better than many P-type alternatives thanks to a temperature coefficient of -0.3%/°C, so production drops less in hot weather.
Technical Specifications
- Name: Callsun N-Type 16BB 400 Watt (4×100W)
- Cell type: N-type monocrystalline, 16 busbars
- Panel dimensions: 31.1 × 22.7 × 1.1 inches
- Weight per panel: 11.4 lbs
- Protection rating: IP68, corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, tempered low-iron glass 3.2 mm
Benefits
These panels are designed to combine relatively high efficiency with a small footprint, which frees up roof or vehicle space while maintaining reasonable output. The reduced temperature sensitivity helps preserve yield during hot months, and the reinforced corners plus robust frame construction support wind and snow loads reported by the manufacturer, suggesting suitability for longer-term outdoor deployment. The lower susceptibility to microcracks and the claimed long lifespan mean less performance degradation over time, with a stated 25-year performance guarantee keeping output above a specified percentage according to the warranty terms.
Usage Recommendations
Installers will appreciate the four pre-drilled mounting holes and the module size that fits many standard mounting brackets for RV roofs and compact arrays. For best results, orient and tilt the panels to maximize sun exposure and avoid shading from nearby objects since actual output depends on irradiation, angle, temperature and system compatibility. Consider pairing the modules with an appropriate charge controller and battery bank rated for a 12V system, and verify mounting hardware and cable routing for vibration-prone applications such as mobile installations. Note that the manufacturer advises inspecting the package on delivery because the units are large and fragile, and output variations will depend on installation conditions.
