California Design Den Luxury King Duvet Cover Set, 400 Thread Count Cotton Sateen, Ivory

Some bedding shoppers want a coordinated set, while others are looking for a cover to protect a comforter they already own. This king-size set brings the cover and two matching pillow shams together in a pale ivory shade. Its 100% cotton sateen fabric has a smooth sheen for a crisp, polished look. Button closure and internal corner ties help keep the comforter in place inside the cover.

What to know

The three-piece set includes one duvet cover measuring 106" W × 90" L and two king pillow shams measuring 21" × 37". The comforter is not included. The cover fits most comforters, but sizes vary, so compare your comforter's measurements with the cover before choosing it.

The fabric is 400 thread count, 100% cotton sateen. The ivory is described as a pale, luminous neutral, without creamy, yellow, or buttery tones, making it a good fit for a bright, understated bedroom palette. The set is backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal and received a 2025 GH Best Bedding award. Its OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label indicates that the item passed safety tests for harmful substances.

Care & maintenance

The duvet cover is machine washable and dryable at home, giving you a way to launder the cover without washing the comforter each time. For everyday bedding care, remove the cover from the comforter before washing, then use the care instructions supplied with the set. The button opening makes the insert accessible, while the interior ties help secure its corners when you put the bedding back together.

Practical tips

Measure your comforter before ordering, since king sizing can vary. When dressing the bed, attach the comforter's corners to the internal ties before closing the buttons, this helps hold the insert in position within the cover. Arrange the two included king shams alongside the duvet for a coordinated bed, or pair the pale ivory cover with other colors and patterns already in the room.

The matching sheet sets and pillowcases are made from the same 400 thread count fabric and are sold separately. That gives you the option to extend the coordinated look over time, while the duvet cover set works on its own as a three-piece bedding update.

When it makes sense

Choose this set when you want a king duvet cover with two matching shams, a light neutral color, and cotton sateen with a smooth sheen. It suits bedrooms where a bright, restrained palette works well and offers a practical way to cover and protect a duvet insert or comforter from spills and stains. The washable cover, button closure, and corner ties make it a considered choice for refreshing a bed while keeping the insert easy to access.
