Caliart Acrylic Paint Set, 24 Colors

A blank pumpkin, a plain canvas, or a stack of craft materials can be hard to tackle when your colors and tools are scattered. This Caliart acrylic paint set brings 24 colors and 12 brushes together, so you can start a project without assembling a separate basic kit. The water-based paints are described as quick-drying and easy to clean with soap and water, which suits short craft sessions and layered designs. One detail to keep in mind: the description names only 20 shades, despite identifying the set as 24 colors.

Technical details

The kit includes 24 colors in 2 oz / 59ml bottles and 12 brushes. The paints are described as water-based, non-toxic, richly pigmented, and suitable for blending and adding layers after they dry. Listed colors include Lemon Yellow, Burnt Sienna, Crimson, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Sap Green, Lamp Black, and Titanium White. The product description lists canvas, wood, rocks, pumpkins, fabric, stone, metal, plastic, ceramic, paper, plaster, and other craft surfaces as uses.

That range makes the set more versatile than buying paint for a single canvas project, especially if you switch between seasonal decorations and general crafts. Still, the description does not name all 24 shades, so the color list alone may not tell you exactly what you’ll receive. It also gives no specific guidance on surface preparation or how the paint holds up after use.

Getting the most from it

This is a ready-to-start craft kit, rather than just a collection of paint bottles: the included brushes let you move from broad areas to smaller details without sourcing tools separately. For example, you could use a larger brush to cover a pumpkin, then switch to a smaller one for leaves or lettering. The quick-dry description also makes layering practical when you want to add details without waiting through a long session.

The paints are presented for both beginners and experienced artists, but the set’s broad craft focus may be less appealing if you need a specific specialist paint or detailed instructions for a particular surface. It makes sense if you want a range of colors and brushes for varied home projects. You may want to skip it if you need a confirmed, complete shade list or surface-specific performance details before choosing.

Usage tips

Start with a small amount of paint on a craft surface and build up coverage or details in layers as needed. Since the paint is described as quick-drying, have your next color or brush ready before moving on. The listing says cleanup is with soap and water, cleaning brushes soon after a session is a practical way to avoid letting paint dry on them. For an unfamiliar material, try a small, inconspicuous area first, since the description does not explain how preparation affects the result.

Before you decide

How many colors and brushes are included? The set is described as having 24 colors and 12 brushes, though only 20 color names appear in the description.

What can you paint with it? Listed surfaces include canvas, wood, rocks, pumpkins, fabric, ceramic, metal, plastic, paper, and plaster.

How do you clean up? The product description says the water-based paint washes off with soap and water.

Should you buy it?

Choose this set if you want paints and brushes in one package for varied canvas and craft projects, including pumpkin decorations, and you don’t need a fully documented color lineup. Its main practical draw is having several tools and colors ready for a project, its clearest drawback is the mismatch between the stated 24-color count and the 20 shades named. If exact colors or proven results on one particular surface matter more than an all-purpose kit, a more specifically documented paint set may be a better fit.
