## Description

Two wireless transmitters let the Caiord K1 capture audio from two people through one Lightning receiver. Clip a mic to each speaker for interviews, co-hosted videos, or conversations recorded on a compatible iPhone or iPad. Plug in the receiver and switch on the transmitters to pair automatically, without Bluetooth or an app.

## Key takeaways

The two-transmitter setup is useful when both sides of a conversation need their own clip-on mic. You can also use one transmitter by itself for a solo vlog, livestream, podcast, or online conference. Its omnidirectional pickup captures sound around the mic, while built-in noise reduction is designed to help manage background noise during recording.

A transmitter button provides a mute function, and an indicator light signals mute mode. The wireless signal has a stated range of up to 65 ft, and the rechargeable transmitter battery is rated for up to 6 hours of use. Buyers have praised the sound clarity and pink appearance, feedback on reliability and compatibility is mixed, so matching the Lightning receiver to your device is an important part of choosing this kit.

## Practical tips

This K1 version connects through a Lightning plug and is intended for iPhone and iPad. It does not work with Android phones that lack a USB-C interface. For setup, insert the receiver fully into the device and turn on the transmitter or transmitters, they are designed to pair automatically. If a phone case blocks the connector, remove the case so the receiver can seat properly. Charge the transmitters before first use.

For an interview, clip one mic to each speaker and position them for comfortable movement while recording. For a solo recording, use one transmitter and keep the second available for a second speaker. The clip-on format keeps the mic close to the person speaking, while the mute control offers a quick way to pause pickup without removing it.

## Getting the most from it

Use the two mics when filming a discussion, conducting an interview, or making a two-person social video, each speaker can have a transmitter rather than sharing one mic. For a single-person recording, one transmitter is enough. The receiver plugs directly into the Lightning connection, and automatic pairing keeps setup straightforward for recording, streaming, or video calls.

The omnidirectional pattern suits speech where the wearer may move naturally, and noise reduction is intended to help in noisier surroundings. Keep the receiver connected during recording, and use the transmitter button to mute when a pause is needed. With up to 65 ft of stated transmission range and up to 6 hours of transmitter operation, the kit supports both close-up recordings and setups where the speaker needs some distance from the phone.

## Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you record interviews or videos with two speakers on an iPhone or iPad and want a separate clip-on transmitter for each person. Compared with a single-transmitter lavalier kit, the Caiord K1 provides a second mic for conversations while still allowing solo use. Its Lightning connection, automatic pairing, mute control, and rechargeable transmitters make it a practical fit for mobile recording and streaming with compatible Apple devices.
