Bright Standards National Parks Scratch-Off Map, Charcoal Grey

Quick overview

Planning a national parks trip can leave you with photos and memories but no easy way to see how many parks you’ve visited. This scratch-off poster turns those trips into a growing visual record: scratch off a park after visiting and watch the map change as your list gets longer. The charcoal gray design uses silver scratch-off areas and includes all 63 U.S. National Parks, with places such as Acadia, Zion, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Olympic, Grand Canyon, and Arches. It’s a simple way to connect a travel goal with something you can display at home.

The poster measures 12 x 16 inches and comes with a scratch-off pen, a small black cloth for buffing marks, a carry bag, and a decorated tube for protecting the print. Unlike a plain map or checklist, this one is meant to show your visits over time, the trade-off is that the display depends on you scratching off each park rather than simply marking a list.

How to use it

After a park visit, use the included pen to scratch off that park’s area, then use the cloth to buff away any marks. Taking a moment to work neatly helps keep the surrounding print looking tidy. You can make this part of a post-trip routine: unpack your bags, pull out the map, and update the places you explored while the details are still fresh.

Keep in mind that the 12 x 16-inch format is designed for a compact display, not a large wall map. If your priority is seeing fine details from across a room, a larger-format travel map may suit that purpose better. The listing says it fits a 12 x 16-inch frame, which gives you a straightforward size to look for if you want to frame it.

Practical tips

A frame can make the poster easier to display and gives it a set place to mark new trips. The frame is not listed among the included items, so treat it as a separate part of your setup. In a classroom, homeschool space, dorm, or bedroom, the map can also prompt conversations about where parks are and which ones might be next on the itinerary. For a family road trip, you could scratch off each stop after returning home and use the map as a visual reminder of the route’s highlights.

It suits you if you enjoy collecting travel memories and want a visible goal tracker rather than a digital list or an unmarked poster. The gift-ready tube and included accessories make it easier to give as a travel- or nature-themed present. You may want to skip it if you need a detailed navigation map or want a display larger than 12 x 16 inches, this is designed to record visits, not provide directions.

Practical doubts

What comes in the package? One scratch-off poster, a scratch-off pen, a small black cloth, a carry bag, and a decorated protective tube.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Bright Standards map if you want a compact keepsake that turns visits to U.S. National Parks into a display you can update over time. Its strongest appeal is the scratch-off tracking: it makes progress visible in a way a basic checklist does not, while still serving as wall decor. The smaller format and lack of navigation detail matter if you want a large, information-heavy map instead. For a travel enthusiast who likes marking completed stops and revisiting those memories, the format has a clear purpose, for someone who mainly needs directions or a bigger reference map, another style will be more useful.
