## Description

This five-camera system combines four Blink Outdoor 4 cameras with a plug-in Mini 2K+ indoor camera and a Sync Module XR+. The XR connection lets Outdoor 4 cameras reach up to 2,700 feet from the module in open air, or 1,700 feet in typical use, giving you more flexibility when placing cameras around your property.

The Mini 2K+ adds 2K video coverage indoors, while the Outdoor 4 cameras use XR technology to connect on the 900 MHz band. That can help keep camera access more responsive in areas where Wi-Fi is spotty.

## How to use it

Set up the Sync Module XR+ as the hub for the Outdoor 4 cameras, then place each camera where you want to monitor outdoor areas. The extended range can be useful for locations farther from the home Wi-Fi setup, such as a detached structure or the far end of a yard. For outdoor placement of the module itself, use the Blink Weather-Resistant Power Adapter, sold separately.

Place the plug-in Mini 2K+ indoors for 2K video coverage in a room such as an entryway or living space. The Blink app lets you arm or disarm the system and use groups of cameras together. You can control up to 10 Blink devices from the app, making it practical to manage this system alongside other Blink devices.

## Key specifications

- System: Four Outdoor 4 cameras, one Mini 2K+ indoor camera, and Sync Module XR+
- Outdoor camera connection: XR technology on the 900 MHz band
- Outdoor camera range from Sync Module XR+: Up to 2,700 feet in open air or 1,700 feet in typical use
- Indoor camera video: 2K resolution
- Outdoor 4 battery life: Up to two years with Sync Module XR+ and Energizer Lithium AA batteries
- Storage: Cloud event storage through a Blink plan, with a free 30-day trial, or local storage using a MicroSD card up to 256 GB

## Benefits

The XR connection offers a different approach from cameras relying on Wi-Fi alone: Blink states that the Outdoor 4 cameras can reach up to 10 times farther from the Sync Module XR+ and can provide up to 20% quicker live-view access in areas with poor Wi-Fi. XR technology is also associated with up to 70% fewer disconnects in areas with weak Wi-Fi signal strength. These features are useful when you want outdoor camera coverage in spots where a standard Wi-Fi connection can be less dependable.

For a practical setup, use the Outdoor 4 cameras to monitor several exterior areas and the Mini 2K+ to keep an indoor room in view. The outdoor cameras can deliver up to two years of battery life when used with the Sync Module XR+ and Energizer Lithium AA batteries, which are included. Choose cloud storage for convenient event access through a Blink plan, or use a MicroSD card with the Sync Module XR+ for local storage. The card is sold separately.

## Buying verdict

It’s a great fit if you want a coordinated camera system with four outdoor viewpoints, an indoor 2K camera, and extended-range connectivity managed from one app. The Sync Module XR+ helps place Outdoor 4 cameras farther from the module than a Wi-Fi-only setup, while the Mini 2K+ brings higher-resolution indoor coverage to the same system. Together, those features suit home monitoring across both outdoor spaces and an indoor room.
